Conservative Blogger FAIL

Connie Schultz is a Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist at the Cleveland Plain Dealer. On her Facebook page she posted the following:

Email from conservative blogger, dated July 9, 2012:

Dear Ms. Shultz,

We are doing an expose on journalists in the elite media who socialize with elected officials they are assigned to cover. We have found numerous photos of you with Sen. Sherrod Brown. In one of them, you appear to be hugging him.

Care to comment?

Response, dated July 10, 2012:

Dear Mr. [Name Deleted]:

I am surprised you did not find a photo of me kissing U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown so hard he passes out from lack of oxygen. He’s really cute.

He’s also my husband.

You know that, right?

Connie Schultz.

Woopsies. Conservative bloggers who haven’t figured out how to use the fucking Google shouldn’t be granted the courtesy of having their names withheld. They should be mocked, publicly. Just sayin’.

You guys never fail to find the good stuff.
For your enjoyment, a link brought to my attention in a tweet from General JC Christian:
    http://blog.atlasshruggedmovie.com/2012/07/volunteers-wanted-dallas-tx.html

  2. Hilarious! The perfect put-down. How many opportunities like that come your way in a lifetime? And how satisfying that the blogger is conservative.

  3. From dr2chase’s link:
“You may even run into one or two of the Producers and/or Stars of the upcoming Atlas Shrugged Part 2 movie…”
Who wouldn’t want to sweat it out in the hot Dallas sun handing out T-shirts for a chance to meet Samantha Mathis and Jason Beghe! Wait … who? Never mind …

If I remember correctly, Beghe used to be a scientologist. From one cult to another…

    Dear Doc,
I am doing a conservative blog post on people in your position who have a cult-like following. Each Monday and Wednesday for 16 weeks, 18-22-year-olds have shown up from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in a room designated by you to hear you speak. You speak to them for those two hours and they write these things down. They also ask questions and you give them more information.
Even more, it is clear that once at the 8-week mark and once at the 16-week mark, you measure their adoption of your cult by handing out stacks of paper that force them to respond to questions regarding what you have told them. Those who do not answer in a proscribed manner, based on what you have told them, are given negative reinforcement. Those who properly repeat your clap-trap are rewarded, sometimes with a smiley-face sticker.
Obviously, you hold some sort of sway over these people to force them into this room and subject them to this material under the guise of something called “Feature Writing” or “News Reporting and Writing.” This inherently cultish and odd behavior is of concern to me and those of us in the conservative patriot league who have never seen such things.
Do you have a comment or response?
    Sincerely,
    A. Patriot

I’m more than a little surprised that said “conservative blogger” didn’t turn that into “Sherrod Brown’s wife says she’d like to asphyxiate him.”
Maybe we should be thankful that many of them are deterred by their lack of spelling skills.
