I’m intrigued as to how such a small population size (as estimated by the drawn neighborhoods) could support the large town. Not to mention that there are small towns of this size all over the USA that are struggling to survive.

Re the Citadel, have you noticed that there’s only one exit? That should prove interesting (unless of course there’s a double-extra-secret tunnel that’s only revealed to you when you sign on. Cross your heart and hope to die).
As far as pointing out that the Citadel can be wiped out by a government-appointed air strike: the creators appear to see it instead as a refuge in a post-apocalyptic future where the government no longer exists and your zombie neighbours are coming for your stuff.
