Ben Carson apologizes for comments on gay people
cnn.com ^ | 03/04/2015 | Eric BradnerPosted on 3/4/2015 7:06:22 PM by GIdget2004
Washington (CNN)Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson apologized for commenting Wednesday that prisoners’ changes after they leave jail proves being gay is a choice, but said that the science is still murky on the issue.
In a statement, Carson said he “realized that my choice of language does not reflect fully my heart on gay issues.”
“I do not pretend to know how every individual came to their sexual orientation. I regret that my words to express that concept were hurtful and divisive. For that I apologize unreservedly to all that were offended,” he added.
To: GIdget2004Why apologize???
Ugh!

Exactly…a MUCH BETTER reply would be to apologize to people that are ‘offended’ by the remark, and then double-down by stating that’s how he see’s it.
If he lets his ENEMIES run his campaign, he loses, immediately.

To: MrBThe gays just bent him over and had their way with him. Nope Carson’s not presidential material. His 2nd amendment stance already killed most of the support he would have had anyway. He just needs to back off the idea altogether…
To: GIdget2004So, Carson shows his true colors – he’s no more than another gutless politician, a PC-driven coward, having no backbone to stand up for that which is morally right. He is willing to sacrifice ontological truth on the altar of political correctness, so as not to jeopardize his standing as a candidate for POTUS … I got news for you, Ben – you just blew your integrity right out of the water … You might as well pack your bags and go home, with your head hung in shame. Nobody likes a coward.

Former Guantanamo detainee, Taliban commander and recent ISIS militant Mullah Abdul Rauf has been declared dead on Monday by Afghanistan authorities. He was killed along with five others by a drone strike, Associated Press reports.
Rauf was reportedly driving a car loaded with ammunition and transporting five other militants when the missile hit.

So – will the Administration who ordered him released at least get credit from the Freeperati for this classic move?
To: sparklite2Ooh, Pwesident Floppy Ears won’t like that.
He released the guy specifically to let him go back to work.

Son of Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy arrested in Utah
http://www.reviewjournal.com ^ | 01/28/2015 | By WESLEY JUHL Posted on 1/29/2015 10:04:54 AM by redreno
Ryan Bundy, son of Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy, was arrested Tuesday in Cedar City, Utah. Iron County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Nik Johnson said in a release that Bundy was served with an arrest warrant while at the county courthouse on a separate case. Bundy, 42, verbally and physically resisted the deputies’ attempts to take him into custody, but deputies overpowered and arrested him, Johnson said. Bundy was booked on charges of interfering with an officer, from the arrest warrant, and an additional charge of resisting arrest.
They’re all in cahoots!

OK … so my first thought is;What was the original warrant for ?, because later in the article all I can glean is;
“The elder Bundy brother appeared before Clark County District Court Judge Joseph Bonaventure on Thursday for having multiple bench warrants and failing drug tests, court minutes showed. Bundy was in the third stage of the program and was near graduation, but in its ruling, the court said the program had done all it could for Bundy, and the case was referred back to trial. Bundy’s next court date is scheduled for Feb. 4.”
Now, I haven’t followed this case, but there’s a whole lot I am apparently behind in ..
WHAT program and for what purpose ?
That would be a drug rehabilitation program, ordered by the court for both of them, as an alternative to doing time.
Drug tests ?
Guess what you have to do if you’re put into a court-ordered drug rehab program?
Can someone bring up to speed without pointing me to a hundred articles I’ll probably not read ?

Sometimes one needs to shoot the sheriff AND the deputy.

Not that I’m much on conspiracy theories, but I’ve started wondering how the Bundy sons got involved in illegal drugs.
In cold war days, this was common M.O. of the Russians, pretty lady spy follows up with addicting drugs.
Onward to either indebtedness or blackmail to turn the target into a mole. If that fails, let the target get outed and dishonored.
Well, fast forward back to the Bundy sons – Who got them involved in illegal drugs – and was it a setup to discredit the Bundy family?
Not that he’s much on conspiracy theories….

Why Jeb Bush is Likely to Win the Republican Nomination
Posted on 2/17/2015 9:52:22 AM by pinochetI need to mention a fact that many freepers will find painful and upsetting. In the 20th Century, Country Club Republicans had greater influence in selecting Republican nominees for President, than grassroots Republicans. There are only 2 notable exceptions when the establishment candidate did not win – 1964 and 1980.
In 1964, the Republican establishment was deeply divided. Three Republican candidates from extremely wealthy, Old Money, WASP families were on the ballot. They were Governor Nelson Rockefeller from New York, Governor William Scranton from Pennsylvania, and former Senator Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. from Massachusetts. Lodge did not formally enter the race for President, but his supporters put him on the ballot as a write-in candidate probably with his covert support, in an effort to stop Rockefeller. The division in the Republican establishment created an opportunity for the anti-establishment candidate, Barry Goldwater, to snatch the nomination. Many members of the Republican establishment were outraged by Goldwater’s nomination, and they ended up supporting Democrat Lyndon Johnson in the November election.
In the case of Reagan, he developed a large number of admirers among pro-life Democrat working class Catholics and evangelical Protestants, in his 1976 run for the Republican nomination. Gerald Ford, the 1976 Republican nomination winner, was a weak pro-lifer, and his wife, Betty, was an open pro-abortion activist. It was Reagan’s pro-life Republican followers who put the pro-life plank in the Republican platform in 1976. In 1980, working class pro-life Democrats, who did not usually vote in Republican primaries, registered for the Republican primary to vote for Reagan. These were the so-called Reagan Democrats. The Republican establishment candidate, George H W Bush, was defeated, but he got the VP’s job.
Right now, the WASP Republican establishment has lined up behind Jeb Bush. Wealthy Republican Catholics have also lined up behind Jeb, because he is the first Catholic (although a convert from Waspish Protestantism) with the best chance to become a Republican President.
****************************
The media is reporting that Jeb Bush has a huge and an unassailable lead in fund-raising. Opponents of Jeb will be drowned by oceans of money. I can understand why Mitt Romney is not running against Jeb. Most of his buddies at the exclusive country clubs have settled for Jeb. The vast majority of Tea Partiers cannot afford exclusive country club memberships. But they can console themselves by recognizing that, even RINO Republican Presidents have a good record of delivering excellent Supreme Court Justices. If the Democrats were to control the Supreme Court from 2016 to 2024, life would be unbearable for patriotic Americans.
Better listen to Pinochet – this guy knows what he’s talking about.

Awww…no Hillary EMAILGHAZI?
I was looking forward to finding out for sures that Hillary was behind all that spam in my inbox. Maybe I should forward it all to JimRob, as “evidence”. Hope he has a couple of petabyte hard drives to spare.
Everything is a conspiracy to them. Everything. Obama let the bad guy go so he could kill him with a drone, someone else got these boys hooked on drugs because their daddy hates the gov’t
That’s why they’re the partyof Personal Responsibility.
Frankly, Snarki – I just couldn’t face it.
Over FOUR FIFTHS of the first page of Freeperville was Hillarygate doo-dah.
I haven’t seen them this worked up over a single subject since Fred Thompson announced his candidacy.
I’ll wait until the OMG dies down and the WHFC sets in.
