First, they came for the polyamorous

I don’t know what they’re smoking over at the Traditional Values Coalition but I hope it wasn’t expensive:

Several months ago, TVC wrote about a University of Chicago Law Professor named Elizabeth Emens who published “Monogamy’s Law: Compulsory Monogamy And Polyamorous Existence.” In her essay, she urges the U.S. to seriously reconsider its opposition to polygamy and polyamory as remnants of a “patriarchal” society.

The death of our culture will be inevitable if we succumb to the destruction of traditional marriage in favor of multiple sex partners and homosexual sodomy posing as marriage.

Historian J.D. Unwin, writing in his 1934 book, Sex and Culture, surveyed the destruction of 86 different cultures throughout history. He discovered something very shocking: Every society that rejected monogamy in marriage and pre-marital chastity, did not last longer than a generation afterward. Unwin noted: “In human records there is no instance of a society retaining its energy after a complete new generation has inherited a tradition which does not insist on prenuptial and postnuptial continence.”

Funny. Gay marriage has been legal in Massachusetts for how long now, and yet I hear no tales of people marrying box turtles. And this guy continues to be disappointed in his particular quest:
