On Novemebr 2 Floridians will be considering a ballot initiative to raise the minimum wage in their state by $1. The initiative boasts strong popular support in the Sunshine State despite the best efforts of the business community.

I can’t recall George Bush ever saying the words “minimum wage” during his term, and he certainly has not proposed an increase.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if this issue was the one that lost Florida for Bush? Talk about your GOTV efforts. Legions of low-wage Floridians who may not have voted in the past will turn out to vote themselves a raise, and while they are at it throw out the man who has made it so hard for them to survive over the past four years.
