Well, we held up our end of the bargain here in Travis County, Texas. With 63% voter turnout 55.9% of us voted for Kerry while 41.9% went for Bush. One of our US reps (Lloyd Doggett) had been targetted by Tom DeLay’s illegal redistricting but he won with more than 60% of the vote. We retained our only area freshman democratic state representative, Patrick Rose, and lost none of our veteran democrats, kicked out one of our republican state reps who had benefitted from DeLay’s laundered campaign funds (Jack Stick) and pushed a second beneficiary of those illegal funds (Todd Baxter) so hard that they’re doing a recount.
