BROOKFIELD, Wis. – A gunman opened fire Saturday at a church service being held at a suburban Milwaukee hotel, killing seven people before taking his own life, authorities said.
Snark aside, Mr. Athenae and I both grew up not far from there, and we still have lots of friends and family there, though mercifully, none near to this mess. Condolences to the victims’ families.
