Man, I tell ya’, if you don’t read Dan Froomkin in the Washington Post every day you are missing something. In yesterday’s column he demonstrated how local media coverage of Chimpie’s Social Security road show (which I like to call Baboon-a-palooza in an extreme example of primate metaphorical confusion) has changed from a discussion of Social Security itself to a focus on the bubble.
A 13-year-old girl was arrested yesterday at the Tucson Convention Center after she threw an egg at President Bush’s motorcade. The girl and her aunt were protesting the president’s speech on Social Security reform. The aunt was cited with disorderly conduct and released.
