From Holden:
Your Vice President blessed the Washington Post with an interview.
Someone please explain to me the balance between these two statements.
Statement One:
“If we are going to be successful long-term in the war on terror and in the broader objective of promoting freedom and democracy in [the Arab] world, we have to get the public diplomacy piece of it right,” Cheney said. “Up until now, that has been a very weak part of our arsenal.”
Statement Two:
“What the president has done [by selecting incompetent liar Condi Rice to be Secretary of State, UN-hater John Bolton as our Ambassador to the UN, Iraq warmonger/fuckup Paul Wolfowitz to head the World Bank, and presidential mommie/monolingual/experience challenged Karen Hughes as PR pointwoman to the Arab Street] . . . is make some personnel changes that he felt would strengthen our capacity as an administration to achieve our objectives,” Cheney said.
