Yesterday we were told that the number of initial unemployment claims (aka: New Jobless, aka: Lucky Duckies) surged to 333,000 last week, an increase of 11,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 322,000.

Today we are told that the economy added 274,000 new jobs in April.

So, where’s My Bush Boom? Well, all those new jobs did nothing to improve the unemployment rate, which remains unrealisticly optimistic as those who have given up searching for a job are excluded. My Bush Boom persists as a figment of some winger hack’s imagination.
