Reader Matt tips me to Karl Rove’s appearance at a Richmond, Virginia, fundraiser for Republican gubernatorial hopeful Jerry W. Kilgore.

For Rove, last night’s appearance was a homecoming of sorts. He served as finance director for the Virginia GOP in the mid-1970s. He spoke fondly of his time in Richmond, sharing that he accrued $175 in unpaid parking tickets in the Fan District that an acquaintance had to help him pay before he left the city.
