From Holden:
Jeebus! What is it with the Bush assministration nominating the worst possible candidates for each and every postion that opens up? ThinkProgress has a pretty egregious example, and here’s another one.
President Bush announced today that he will nominate retired Vice Adm. John Scott Redd to be director of the new National Counter-Terrorism Center in McLean, the country’s primary agency for analyzing terrorist threats and planning counterterrorism operations at home and abroad.

He recently served as deputy administrator and chief operating officer of the Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad. [Emphasis added, DAMMIT!]
Hey, Senate Dems – do you think you could ask Vice Adm. Redd what he did with that $8.8 Billion in Iraq?
