From Scout:

In Part 4 Tom and Jen are evacuated to the Chalmette Courthouse where they spend the first night of their exodus from St. Bernard Parish. They are grateful to be safe and have a slice of bread with peanut butter however conditions are horrible as 1000 people, mostly the sick and elderly, cram into a courtroom built for 200.
