  1. “The top U.S. military spokesman in Iraq, Maj. Gen. William B. Caldwell, said the Iraqi police brigade in the area had been ordered to stand down and was being retrained.” Damned idiots! Retrained? Do those dumbnuts actually believe a man needs training to not kidnap and kill his countrymen? That part of the “war” is supposed to be left in US troops’ hands. You’d think one short lecture could get that across.

  2. I didn’t read the link till I saw your post. Wow! Iraqi unit tied to death-squad militia, ordered to stand down.
Couldn’t agree more, but Americans have a strong culture that retraining will cure the ills.
Do I kill an innocent civilian or not? Do I torture innocent victims in Abu Ghraib or not? Do I rob a bank or not?
Quick – someone get me the powerpoint from the ethics lecture so I can decide !

  3. But hey, we’re “fighting them over there so we don’t have to fight them over here”. . .nearly 2800 US soldiers dead; costing billions of dollars each month; more jihadists every day; less security here (’cause much of the National Guard is over there); our troops caught in the middle of a civil war; we, the most powerful nation in the world, are living in fear. . .yeah, great strategy, Repukes. Getting better, all the time!
