OK, so it has a Bondsesque asterisk next to it. I still whipped Athenae’s ass!
You may recall that earlier this year Athenae and I entered into a friendly wager. I declared that Chimpy’s job approval rating in at least one major national poll would dip below 25% by October. Athenae, on the other hand, sided with the forces of darkness and chimpitude and bet that Dear Leader would be rewarded with the enduring love of more than 25% of the populace.
Ha!
Today we learn that Chimpy’s job approval rating plummeted to a record-breaking 24% in the newReuters/Zogby poll.
Deepening unhappiness with President George W. Bush and the U.S. Congress soured the mood of Americans and sent Bush’s approval rating to another record low this month, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.
[snip]
Bush’s job approval rating fell to 24 percent from last month’s record low for a Zogby poll of 29 percent.

The poll found declining confidence in U.S. economic and foreign policy. About 18 percent gave positive marks to foreign policy, down from 24 percent, and 26 percent rated economic policy positively, down from 30 percent.
Yee-ha!!!! Holden Rules! [does the superior dance]
