Today on Athenae’s Obsession with the Freepi: Failboat Edition

Not even the endorsement of Bush could save McCain:

No, because Bush is NOT A CONSERVATIVE and has views very diametric to conservatism. And we know better, when it comes to McCain. I don’t think that THINKING and INFORMED people have any trouble figuring out what and who McCain really is, just as we have figured out what Bush is and is not…

God help me, Iagree with it. But tell me more, Freepi friends:

I will vote against McCain in the Republican primary and if he manages to win it I will be voting for the most conservative third party candidate I can find in the General election knowing that my vote might contribute to a Republican loss. If the Republicans can’t find a better candidate then McCain then I don’t care if the lose and I really don’t even want to be called a Republican.

There, there. Deep breaths. Here, have a swig from my flask. It’ll be okay:

Not even if Odin himself gives McCain his stamp approval. Nor Jehova, nor Vishnu, ect…

What about Thor? If Thor endorses, would you still hold out, you heretic? I guess so:

NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!
NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!
NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!
NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!
NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!
NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!NEVER!!

Sorry I asked. Damn.

Half the reason I’m posting this stuff is that the day after the convention, McCain will magically become Republican Jesus, especially if he chooses some wingnut token as his running mate. When that happens, and Freeperville is purged of all anti-McCain sentiment, I want to back up my pointing and laughing with, you know, links.

  1. McCain just needs to be reborn as a conservative republican patriot, and the GOP convention is where that miracle will happen. God works in mysterious ways, or so I hear.

  2. Not just links, make sure to make screen-captures.
Because once the commissariat decrees a new party line, all documents that disagree must go down the memory hole.

yes, and we are starting to see “the gentlemen callers” lining up on the front porch. Sanford, Thune, Pawlenty, etc.
The third act is always so much fun…

  4. I have a nephew that is an ultra-conservative, christo-fascist type and he is expressing very similar sentiments. He HATES John McCain (although he can’t seem to pinpoint why that is [hint: he’s a dittohead, too]) and can’t bring himself to vote for (he calls them) Billary or Osama (I gave him shit for that). So, at this point it looks like Republican turn-out will be down in November. Whoo Hoo!

  5. well, we’ll never get the progressive liberal we want. why should they get their desire.
and don’t be gleeful yet. bastards always get out to crush us.

  6. Pansy, come November McCain will be idolized as the second coming of Reagan, the umpteenth coming of Abe Lincoln, and the only honest man in the race. The GOP turnout, largely driven by the churches and the news media, will be the usual mob scene, and a Democratic victory will only be possible if each of us drags ten more Democrats to the polls to force them to vote. I’m not an optimist.
