Reading Graphs is a Lib-ral thing.
I keep a graphy of the monthly Dow, S&P, and Nasdaq adjusted for inflation (per consumer price index). Needless to say, the fall of the markets is even starker when you adjust for inflation.
But what is even more interesting is to see which presidents did best and worse. It is fun to compare the recent 2-term presidents (Clinton, Carter, Reagan, Bush II) and see how the market did over their 8 years and compare that to the media buzz.
