Today on Tommy T’s Obsession With The Freeperati – “poor babies” edition

Good morning everyone – there’s lotsa Freeper insanity waiting for us to test and grade, so let’s get suited up, crack the airlock door, and have at it!

First up –Freepers worry about their image – and their asses:

Missouri police given chilling instructions (just mentioned by Rush)

Police in Missouri apparently are being instructed to keep on eye on conservatives.
According to this AP article the government of the state of Missouri
has issued a report “informing” state police that people with third
party bumper stickers on their cars or who believe the NAFTA
superhighway is an attempt create a North American Union are subversive
members of paramilitary militias and potential terrorists.

Now why in the name of heaven would they worry about Freeper-style “patriots”?

Let me think…

Murrah

Oh, yeah.

But to the Freepers? They’re being unfairly singled out.

subversive members of paramilitary militias and potential terrorists.

Andwe’re millions strong.

Ok – maybe “unfairly” is the wrong word.
Did that moron just call himself a potential terrorist? Out loud?

To: SloopJohnB
Bring on the goons, they will be no match for the Vets, Red necks!!!!!!!

Hmm – those guys were “the thin blue line” when they were beating up hippies.
Now the same guys are “goons”. And the vets and rednecks are gonna stop em. Right.

Here today, goon tomorrow.

Dipshit, when a cop pulls you over, you’re gonna do what every one else does – hand over your license, registration and insurance card, and keep your hands in plain sight. You want to commit suicide by cop? Don’t let me stop ya.

And we’re millions strong.

“They aren’t organized. Take them out one by one and there will be no trouble.”

That’s “tens of thousands strong”, and there’s not gonna be any trouble because almost all of you are cowardly little turds talking armed insurrection, but doing exactly dick about it.
I’m sure there’s some potential McVeighs among you, but we do have a remedy for such types.
It involves a nice comfortable gurney.

The third reich would have heartily approved.
Good Lord – what have we become?

In a word…sane.

To: SloopJohnB
It would be just priceless if EVERYBODY had a “subversive” bumper sticker.
Something on the theme of Missouri being the “show me” state or a mule
kicking the hell out of the constitution or something like that.

Well, what’s next Freepers on trial for treason for speaking out against socialism? Just a rhetorical question.

I’ve got a better idea.
Why don’t I just make fun of you and your paranoid FRiends in a web forum?
I know it’s not the Franz Kafka nightmare you’ve hyped yourself into believing, but ya gotta start somewhere.

To: SloopJohnB
Funny, they do not dispute the NAU or anything else, but always leave
out the fact that other than McVeigh, who some say was a patsy for
Clinton
…they ignore the thousands of Americans killed by illegal
aliens and Muslim terrorists.

That’s right! Clinton totally blew up the Murrah building, and then framed McVeigh for it!
“Some say”, after all.

Fortunately, the commenters in the KansasCity.com article dispel any notions that militia – um – members – are dangerous:

You know what I truly love about the Political Left In The United
States. They are So Smart That They’re Stupid! The are going to cause a
confronation(sic) with the Militia Movement in the United States &
they’re going to get more than they bargained for! The moment they (The
Political Left) start a fight with the Militia Movement, It’ll be over
before it starts & the Political Left will wonder what the HELL
happened to them when They’re on the RECEIVING END! There is a old
saying, “Let Sleeping Dogs Lie!” A Warning to the Political Left:“You Start The Fight; The Militia’s Will Finish It!” ENOUGH SAID! THINK ABOUT IT!

  1. Hmm, sounds like The FBI should be busy leaning on these “people”. Sounds like a few of them are advocating treason.

  2. Hmmm…
As a liberal, feminist, green, leans socialist, registered Democrat, pro choice, military veteran, clergy member of a mainline Protestant denomination, and a woman, I wonder how many seconds would elapse before I began receiving vicious deaths, if I were so inclined to attempt to post over there.
Just speculation, as I have no intention of wasting my time even trying.
Sweet baby Jesus on a cream cheese popover…

  3. That would be vicious deaththreats
I imagine that threats would be the extent of their poor powers to add or detract.

  4. left rev, I think aside from the lethat doses of stupid they would hurl at you, the last time I checked, a pipe bomb full of cheetos dust was neither damaging, nor lethal…just a drycleaning nightmare.
We’ll protect ya – Wonder Liberal Powers Combine in form of CrackVan CatBus!

  5. Tommy, it is a big flap here in Missouri. Basically, the govt police (I’m wanting to say Highway Patrol) had a study of militia types and it somehow got leaked (gasp – who would have thought).
Problem was, it could be used to link all conservative groups. Needless to say, all conservatives didn’t like being pegged with the survivalist / militia types.
But as you point out, the Oklahoma City bomber, spent a lot of time with a certain separatist “church” in Missouri and with paramilitary / militia training. So some attention to paintball contests may be warranted.
Also, down on the Missouri SW border, Olbermann has featured a yearly retreat where you get to take you automatic weapons and blow away things. Fun or training?

  6. Maple Street, where?
‘Cause I grew up on the SW Mo border — few miles north of Arkansas, half to 3/4 of a mile east of Oklahoma. (South of Seneca, north of Hart — northwest of Tiff City)
(And as a native Texan held hostage in the Ozarks for more than half my childhood, lemme tell ya, “hillbilly,” “redneck,” and “churchgoing” are NOT the same thing as “harmless.”)

  7. Gee, I wonder why Terry Nichols wasn’t waterboarded.
Known (convicted!) terrorist, involved in a major attack America. Not even that NYC den of coastal liberalism, but OKC:the Heartland!.
All kinds of questions remain about associates, co-conspirators, future plots, etc. In custody, and no foreign goverments to piss off about mistreating their citizens. So why the hell not?
I guess Bush & Cheney, when the chips were down, were candy-ass terrorist coddlers after all.

  8. Hi Other Sarah,
I’m not sure which one you’re looking for more info.
For the automatic weapons – and I’ve got to admit, playing Dirty Harry could be fun – its just over the border in OK. See http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15919985/
From publicity stunts to just plain old stunts that are fun for the whole family. What says family togetherness at the holidays more than the fully automatic shoot out weekend in Oklahoma. That‘s ahead, but time for COUNTDOWN‘s latest list of nominees for worst person in the world.
A new segment that we hope becomes a regular feature here on COUNTDOWN, Keith Olbermann‘s America. We begin in America‘s heartland, Wyandotte, in the upper north east corner of Oklahoma. It is gun country, sure and there is something romantic about heading out with grampa‘s 22 and picking tin cans off a dusty fence rail.

  9. Maplestreet – if the police could read what the right-wing nutcases say about them (“Jackbooted thugs” being among the nicest), they might take even more care with people who wear their anti-government views on their bumper sleeves. Are all the militia wannabes dangerous? Of course not. As I pointed out, they all talk a good game, but comply like anyone else when armed authority pulls them over.
What’s funny is that the cogitative dissonance as the “Cops are good” law-and-order meme crashes head-on into the “Molon Labe” meme and leaves them both a smoking pile of wreckage.
And yes, firing off a few magazines full-auto at a range or outdoor shoot is fun (if expensive).
I’ve done it at military school and at DFW gun range. It doesn’t make me a terrorist or a militia moron.
Dancinfool – I’m not brave, just blessed with a strong stomach.
Plus, I grew up in Texas during the 50s. I’ve seen enough bigotry, hatred, and xenophobia to be able to view it clinically. And I love your “Depressionist Art” works, BTW.
And Snarki – it is interesting to note the differences between how McVeigh and Nichols were treated and how Guantanamo detainees were treated.
As far as I am concerned, the federal prison, trial and execution meted out to the American terrorists should be mirrored for anyone convicted of Al Queda plots to kill Americans. You won’t hear Freepers complaining about being afraid to have non-brown terrorists incarcerated within the U.S., though.
