So named after the University of Wisconsin’s mascot, because he has a small white stripe on top of his head. He’s a year old, fat and plushy, and when Mr. A and I met him in the shelter he was a mellow, kissy guy who loved being petted and cuddled and held like a big stuffed animal. Naturally the minute we brought him home he turned into a freaky dingo and now won’t deign to sit still for ten seconds, hence the need to kung-fu him to get a decent picture. Puck has adopted him as sort of an intern, and makes him sort the mail:

Seriously, his reaction — he acknowledges Bucky’s presence only to glare in his direction and look up at me like, “Seriously?” — worried me until I went back and looked up some of the posts I did back when we first got Riot, about how he always wanted to play with Puck and Puck didn’t want to have anything to do with the n00b. All three of them curl up in the cage together in a big furry heap, so I think no matter how much they may prefer their separate corners for now, in the long run they’ll be the kind of friends that Joe and Stripe and Fox were. Which is to say they’ll spend most of their time arguing and stealing each other’s food.
