Lisbon is beautiful and historic. The view from St. George’s Hill is spectacular. The food is outstanding. The sidewalks are all done in mosaics.
Oporto is right on the river and all the major port wine houses give tours.
The Azores are also beautiful, an archipelago about 1000 miles off the Iberian coast. Ponta Delgada is a volcanic island and rainwater has filled the crater. The locals call it Fire Lake. Horta is quite cosmopolitan.
Yes, most certainly, go see Portugal and enjoy yourself. The Mrs. and I do every time we’re there.
