Bert Blyleven along with Roberto Alomar was elected to the Baseball Hall Of Fame yesterday. Bert was known for his awesome curveball and his consistent excellence while pitching for some horrible Twins, Angels, Rangers and Indians teams as well as the world champion Pirates in 1979 and Twins in 1987. Yes, Virginia, the Pirates used to be perennial contenders instead of 21st Century losers.
