Well, folks – other than the never-ending Freepathon, Jim (I’m all in for Newt Gingrich) Rob has been MIA for weeks now.
Maybe he’s too depressed after this:
Live Thread: GOP Primary election results (WI, MD, DC)
April 3, 2012Posted on Tuesday, April 03, 2012 7:24:56 PM bynewzjunkey
Fox News &CNN are projecting Romney wins MD in their banners.
Santorum wasn’t on the DC ballot.
Wisconsin polls close at 8pm CDT/9pm EDT.

To: FlingWingFlyerWhy do we give them 19 delegates? I mean, I can understand throwing them a bone and giving them 6, but 19 is just plain ridiculous when the GOP candidate can’t break 20% in anawesome year.
“You keep using that word…”
They make Hawaii look competitive.

To: newzjunkeyThe republican party is half past dead and if we don’t get a blood transfusion ASAP, it’s over. romney will never beat oscumma in a million years. This is sickening.

To: newzjunkeyI live in the People’s Republic of Maryland. Hit the polling place after work at about 1830 –the place was like a tomb.
I cast my vote, and I don’t mind telling you that I voted for the Newtster.
When it came to the Senatorial candidates I didn’t even recognize any of the names except two – one a nutcase named John Kimble – I voted against him and for Mr. Douglas. I understand Romney has projected winner in the presidential contest. As I have said before on this forum, I will not vote for that RINO sonofabitch in the general election!

Witness the death of the grand old party and the birth of a new moderate to liberal republican party vs a left-wing radical democrat party.
America will never rebound in my lifetime and this is the legacy we are leaving our children and grandchildren. How about stupid? Does stupid work for you?
To: MestaMachineThe republican party is half past dead and if we don’t get a blood transfusion ASAP, it’s over. romney will never beat oscumma in a million years. This is sickening.By virtue of these Romney wins (and probable eventual Republican nomination), the GOP is giving Obama his second term on a silver platter. Everyone I talk to sees it the same way. Romney is NOT anyone’s first choice and people are disillusioned with the apparent John McCaining of conservatives for the second time in a row. This is republican party suicide and everyone can see it except the elites who are forcing this candidate down our throats.
You’d rather have Santorum shoved down your throats? Yuck.
May God help America out of this potential disaster.

They almost unanimously said that it is now more important to get behind a candidate soon, and to not delay or hinder the nomination. Why do I get the feeling that’s what you wanted all along. So what’s your real name, Rove?
To: KennyI don’t give a damn what you think. The problem with your side is, you were warned that supporting Santorum would guarantee a Romney win. Well, guess what…? We all lose.

It’s high time for a third party, but the GOP talking heads in the news media will do their darndest to keep party-line Republicans in line with their usual talking points and scare tactics.
“Let’s change the GOP from within!”
Riiight. It’s not like the establishment holds the reins of power or anything.
And 17% (at best) of the electorate will magically unelect/unseat all of them and march proudly on to victory!
I love this place.
“But a third party will never win!”
Romney will never win, either, but we’re supposed to vote for him.
“But a third party will split the vote!”
Good! It’s time for the Republicans to go the way of the Whigs.
And time for “conservatives” to go the way of the Know-nothings.
What did caving to the establishment get us in ‘08?
Pandering to the screwball right via putting a simpleton up for Veep who had to be advised of the difference between WWI and WWII is now “caving to the establishment”?? Fancy that.
What did it get us in ‘12? Will 2016 be any different?

He has got the crowd fired up. His bashing Obama and Romney ismost excellent.
He is also revisiting Republican Party history, its failure to win elections by nominating MODERATES—as controlled by the Leadership vanquishing the conservative grassroots. Great speech! Packed House.

“by so_real ( “The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools.”)”
Wait, the Congress does what now?
That tag line was so awesome that I had to enter the phrase into the Great Gazoogle.
The first result was “Fake Quotations”
The second result was “Fake History”
Almost all the other results were wingnuts touting the quote.
These really are small-town folks, simple hard working people, the salt of the earth.
RE
Wow TT. You’ve been BUSY! Straining the sewage, so to speak.
(Ducky probably has phtalates, so maybe we’re doing you a favor…)
Well, RE, I prefer to think of them as the santorum of the body politic, but that’s just me.
The hilarity really does continue unabated, doesn’t it? Mr. Jim Rob has probably been out of commission these past weeks because he’s got his head in his oven.
It will only take him a few more weeks to figure out that he’s got to turn the gas on.
AZ, I guess my reference wasn’t as widely popular as I thought.
The original quote is:
These are small-town folks, simple hard working people, the salt of the earth… you know, morons.

As usual, I can’t get more than a few lines into your Freeper report before my head explodes. This time:
“I didn’t even recognize any of the names except two – one a nutcase named John Kimble – I voted against him and for Mr. Douglas.”
So here is this knowledge-filled commentator on FR telling them what to do. Yet s/he hasn’t even kept up with the news enough to even know the names of their candidates for Senate? Yet they still cast a vote. And of course their sig line is puncutated by numerous military references.
Thanks Tommy T!
That was the bit that struck me too, Maple Street. The freepers consider themselves the informed Republican base but they have no idea who is running for the nomination of their party to represent them. Criminy!
Thanks, Tommy, for venturing into the morass of insanity!
I can’t remember where I heard it, but the best line for Newt I have come across is, “Maybe someone should tell him that the Republican Primary has cancer – he will be gone in a flash.”
The Primary reminds me of that scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where they keep sending henchmen into the trap and the henchmen keep getting their heads whacked. Essentially the Freeperati are doing the same with their anti-Mitt candidates. Next up!
Remember when they all extolled the virtues of Citizens United? And it took less than a year for it to bite them in the ass.
Glad you guys liked this one – it’s why I do it (other than being afforded the opportunity to say “fuck” on the internets).
Tommy
Hey Tommy T,
Thanks yet again for doing this. You’re a stronger man than me! I just went on to FR for the first time out of a morbid sense of curiousity. It’s like a time capsule. The site looks like something from 1995. How can a website looking like that cost $92K a quarter to maintain.
Jim Rob has a really great grift going!!
