Oooh, a “midnite” show. Spooky! Scary! On . . . DECEMBER 26TH?!
I wonder why they’d have their show the day after Christmas? Of course, all the young uns are out of school, but Christmas for the Big Horror & Magic Stage Show?
According to my handy-dandy perpetual calendar, Dec. 26 came on a Tuesday in 1933 (too early, I’d guess), 1939 (ditto), 1944 (probably not, there was plenty of horror in real life), 1950 or 1961.

Thought was odd as well. My guess would be 1950. Bela was dead in 1961.

{Embarrassed} Shoulda check on Lugosi’s vital statistics and figured out he wasn’t in any shape to put on a show in 1961. I am intrigued by the “Vampire Maiden Burned Alive.”
Seems like a lot of show for just a dollar. I’d have gone.

No worries. I didn’t look it up since I remembered that Bela died during the filming of Plan 9 From Outer Space. That was the, uh, final Ed Wooden stake in the old junkie’s heart.
