I usually despise re-makes; especially when the original film was a good ‘un. There are, of course, exceptions to every rule andInvasion Of The Body Snatchers is mine. I *love* both versions and may even givePhilip Kaufman’s 1978 version a slight edge overDon Siegel’s 1956 original, which is almost unprecedented for me.

I agree! Rarely is a remake worth the trouble. This one, especially with the surprise ending on the remake, is good, creepy fun.
Peace,

I remember coming out of the theater after the remake, my friend and I felt like any of the people surrounding us could be a pod person, it was paranoia inducing! Did not see the original film until years later.
I never saw the original, but was disappointed by the remake. It seemed rather silly, though I can’t quite remember why. I never really get “horror” movies, and this didn’t seem to be much else. Yawn!
