This is the work of local Democrats, not national Republicans. My alderman is working to close SROs in Uptown all while waiving affordable housing requirements for TIF developments. It’s lakefront liberalism at its worst. His idea is Uptown has too many social services and it is holding the neighborhood back. It’s too affordable in my ‘hood and not optimally developed — for douchebags.
