Left to their own devices, states will naturally direct all that free money to the schools that really need it. They will in no way allow the process to be tainted by politics, racist ideas about how poor families of color don’t care about education for their children, or the simple economics of wanting to reward rich friends and show off showcase high schools that already have things they’d commit murder to even think about two neighborhoods over.
I mean, we’ve seen it work out Just That Way before, right?
