Kibitzer went to take the “Apartheid Forever” overflow filters out to be cleaned and sterilized, and never came back. I suspect that either FR enemy action, a “Red” Reddington hit squad, or his refusal to ask for directions is to blame.
Anyway – the roof was bulging this morning when I checked up at the iso chamber. I hit the emergency vent controls, and this shot into the air:
Nelson Mandela, anti-apartheid icon and father of modern South Africa, dies
CNN ^ | 12-05-2013 | By Faith KarimiNelson Mandela, the revered statesman who emerged from prison after 27 years to lead South Africa out of decades of apartheid, has died, South African President Jacob Zuma announced late Thursday.
Mandela was 95.
“He is now resting. He is now at peace,” Zuma said. “Our nation has lost its greatest son. Our people have lost a father.”
“What made Nelson Mandela great was precisely what made him human,” the president said in his late-night address. “We saw in him what we seek in ourselves.”
Mandela will have a state funeral. Zuma ordered all flags in the nation to be flown at half-staff from Friday through that funeral.
Mandela, a former president, battled health issues in recent months, including a recurring lung infection that led to numerous hospitalizations.
With advancing age and bouts of illness, Mandela retreated to a quiet life at his boyhood home in the nation’s Eastern Cape Province, where he said he was most at peace.
Despite rare public appearances, he held a special place in the consciousness of the nation and the world.

The best thing that could have happened is the white South Africans have their own country separate from the blacks.

The mods here won’t have it any easier. I can’t wait for the next 20 pages or so of the standard“the blacks[ didn’t know how good they had it under apartheid” nonsense, that kicks around on FR whenever Mandela makes it into the news.

When a person dies, in the overwhelming majority of cases, the classy response is to be gracious and allow other people to honor them. There are very few Hitler, Stalin, Rios Montt and Torquemada types who were EVIL. Their names, as Proverbs says, will rot, and rightly so. Most people are instead a mixed bag. What is so horrible about granting them a little respect and kindness?
This business of being gleeful at the death of Ted Kennedy (as Breitbart did) or then celebrating the death of Breitbart and using the justification that “he did it to Kennedy” is despicable, childish, peevish, classless and hate filled.

it’s the holidays! Commenting is probably lite even over at the cesspool. This is the time of year to sight in your weapon. The hap hap happiest time of the year means nothing to the red scourge.
Actually, I am probably going to sight in my Grandfather’s Winchester Targetmaster .22 and my old .410 shotgun (last used in 1985 at my Dad’s farm).
The range I like to go to was recently rebuilt (after some idiot burned it down firing tracer ammo), and it’s time to check out the new place…

The question is, what are the limits of the extreme right’s hatred and insanity, and I’m afraid the answer is there isn’t any limit. Every troll under every rock has been released and the results aren’t going to be good. And based on the couple of comments above, the nuts can hardly wait to start shooting their fellow Americans.
