Today on Tommy T’s Obsession with the Freeperati – Stay classy, Freepers!

Morning, troopers!

Kibitzer went to take the “Apartheid Forever” overflow filters out to be cleaned and sterilized, and never came back. I suspect that either FR enemy action, a “Red” Reddington hit squad, or his refusal to ask for directions is to blame.

Anyway – the roof was bulging this morning when I checked up at the iso chamber. I hit the emergency vent controls, and this shot into the air:

Nelson Mandela, anti-apartheid icon and father of modern South Africa, dies
CNN ^ | 12-05-2013 | By Faith Karimi

Nelson Mandela, the revered statesman who emerged from prison after 27 years to lead South Africa out of decades of apartheid, has died, South African President Jacob Zuma announced late Thursday.

Mandela was 95.

“He is now resting. He is now at peace,” Zuma said. “Our nation has lost its greatest son. Our people have lost a father.”

“What made Nelson Mandela great was precisely what made him human,” the president said in his late-night address. “We saw in him what we seek in ourselves.”

Mandela will have a state funeral. Zuma ordered all flags in the nation to be flown at half-staff from Friday through that funeral.

Mandela, a former president, battled health issues in recent months, including a recurring lung infection that led to numerous hospitalizations.

With advancing age and bouts of illness, Mandela retreated to a quiet life at his boyhood home in the nation’s Eastern Cape Province, where he said he was most at peace.

Despite rare public appearances, he held a special place in the consciousness of the nation and the world.

How do we know he won’t rise up and try to eat the guts of the living?
To be safe someone should pith him or put a round in his ear.

The South African blacks were all shot dead by whackaloon vigilantes? I missed another memo.

My attitude towards Mandela correlates somewhat with the present state of South Africa…which is deplorable. Of course, most of the world looks at Mandela as some kind of a hero. He “freed” the black s.a.s from the Boers. The sad truth is that most black south Africans are quite unable to live a civilized, western kind of life. To say different is to deny the facts. The best thing that could have happened is the white South Africans have their own country separate from the blacks.

The mods here won’t have it any easier. I can’t wait for the next 20 pages or so of the standard“the blacks[ didn’t know how good they had it under apartheid” nonsense, that kicks around on FR whenever Mandela makes it into the news.

I don’t want to be crass but the man was a terrorist and commie who did more harm to the future of his people than any racist Boer ever did.

The whips and chains of the Boers (well, the Jim Crowish regime) never did the black people as much harm as their pity parties. It’s well for any people (we too… this is not a race specific thing) to note that they are needy people; it’s wrong to take the idea that anyone but God can effectively do something to help it.

An American president with a commie terrorist.

He was South Africa’s President, not ours.

And he did get along pretty well with the US, all things considered.

That’s more George Bush being gracious, than Mr. Mandela.

Well, I’m glad we cleared that up! And I had no idea Bush 41 and 43 looked so much alike!
