Too Crazy For Erick Erickson

The lunatic fringe went nuts over the multi-cultural Coke ad during the Super Blowout. It puzzled the hell outta me and usually reliable wingnut Erick Erickson of Red State didn’t get it either:

Coke is well known for its slightly mawkish Kumbaya-style ads so nobody should have been shocked by this commercial. I thought it was mildly pleasant and forgot about it until the hissy fit spread across the interwebs.

I don’t recall Conservatives getting all riled up about the I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing ad campaign. Don’t they have anything better to do? That was, of course, a rhetorical question that we all know the answer to. The outrage factory never rests.

It’s too early for a Coke Zero so I’ll pour myself another cuppa coffee. It’s a pity that Joe Scarborough has ruined the phrase cuppa joe but he has and I’m not too Mika to admit it…

  1. Well, Erick son of has a rare moment of lucidity, but as to the mouth breathers all in a snit…when your worldview is in no small part predicated on a Caucasian, English Speaking Jeebus…

  2. The outrage factory is all up in arms by being reminded that people speak different languages, but they’re just fine with Bob Dylan hawking gas-guzzling cars while bad-mouthing Keystone Light.
Me? I’m thinking of the children.
