First on CNN: Liz Cheney, whose bid to unseat Wyoming Sen. Mike Enzi sparked a round of warfare in the Republican Party and even within her own family, is dropping out of the Senate primary, sources told CNN’s John King.

Cheney, the eldest daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, began telling associates of her decision over the weekend and could make an announcement about the race as early as Monday.

Well, for once, I get to beat Mr. TBogg “Dick Dynasty” to the punch.

Come now, boys – this was supposed to be another Tea Party Triumph! Didn’t you know that this was the grassroots against the establishment candidate? Surely some Freeper had some skin in this game!

Quite apart from the merits of Liz Cheney vs. Mike Enzi, this is a setback for insurgent in the Republican Party trying to oust the establishment. In other words, not viewed as a conservative vs. liberal matrix but as an insurgent vs. establishment contest, it is a setback.

There ya go!
Rebuttal?

Liz Cheney was early in her support for gay marriage and the homosexual agenda, including at the federal level and for the military.

She wanted DADT ended and rejoiced when it was, she was against DOMA, is against a constitutional amendment to save marriage, and supports gay marriage, and supports the State department move to the gay agenda.

After 46 years of life and politics, and being a member of the Romney campaign

Well, you don’t get more anti-establishment/insurgent than that.

Wait, wut?

where she never expressed a pro-life belief, anywhere, she has also suddenly became “strongly pro-life”, just for this campaign.

I think that Liz Cheney went to Wyoming to take a Senate seat where she could promote libertarian social liberalism in the GOP, while sounding tough and right wing (as she does to the unsuspecting), to serve the GOP rinos as a counterbalance to the tea party warrior Sarah Palin, and other truly conservative tea party women.

I’d say something witty here, but my nose is bleeding from that incomprehensible run-on sentence.

Has anybody in the Cheney family served in the military? Just asking.
