Album Cover Art Wednesday: B.B. King

I still have BB on my mind so I thought I’d honor him with two album covers from different parts of his career. The first one is his debut studio album dating from 1956. It has that swell and sleek retro look including BB’s pompadour hairdo.

Even though the cake on this cover looks like something done by Duff Goldman, it’s not. Blues ‘N’ Jazz  was released in 1983. I wasn’t able to find out who designed and/or executed the cover, which is a pity and somewhat odd since it won a Grammy for best blues recording.
