One side effect of the steroids Claire is on for her cancer is that she’s now eating like a furry little pig. But because she’s still Claire, she likes to throw the food all over the floor of her cage before she chows it down.

Here’s to Claire — as to my own furry family member, he’s doing ok so far. I brought him home Tuesday, and next week he’s back to the vet for more treatment.
I do wish someone would come up with medicine that was flavored…it’d make it a lot easier.
My cat had to take a medicine long term, I used to get it from a compounding veterinary pharmacy by mail. They’d put it in a soft treat in blister packs. There was a wide selection of flavors to choose from. I don’t know if you can get this for your particular medicine.

the vet said to try butter on pills, but basil just sucked the butter off & spit out the pill. now there are ear drops, i may have to switch.
