Trump really screwed up with this one. The Guys in the Freedom Caucus are in very “Safe” Districts. His threat is only going to be greeted with laughs. I am a trump supporter, but sometimes I wish he would run his proposed Tweets by some of his staff before he cranks them out. Ronald Reagan had an eleventh Commandment about not talking ill of fellow Republicans. Trump would do well to remember that.

  1. When so much angst about Trump out there from his own party, a special award for diving into this cesspool to show more is due here. I admit going into freeperville myself every now and then but it doesn’t take long to realize that I don’t need to do this to myself, “Tommy’s” there, so I don’t have to! Kudos!

It is increasingly obvious that what is happening to the GOP in general, and the alliance of Masculine Anger-Driven Neo-fascist Egregiously Stupid Superpatriots (MADNESS) that supports Free Republic in particular, is the lack of a definable common enemy. Without Obama, and without Clinton, they just haven’t figured out who to reflexively blame everything on. Hence the circular firing squad. In the absence of a Clinton, Kennedy, Immanent Muslim Attack, or Obama to focus upon they are are at a loss. In the face of an ineffectual and uninspiring Trump administration, even their undying hatred of Warren has enough energy to fuel the conspiracies that are vital to supporting their worldview.

    Can anyone lay odds on the likelihood that the flailing and chaos that seems to define the Trumpian “strategy” to governance will cause the always fractious Freeper coalition to Whig-out faster than they can identify the next unifying political enemy? As it is, Free Republic has already purged itself down to JimRob and a couple hundred morons trying to relive the glory days of the Gingrich Revolution.If JimRob starts zotting the dissent, who will bankroll the next freepathon?
