Today on Tommy T’s Obsession with the Freeperati – from bad to obverse edition

So – The Darnold decided to bomb the fuck out of Syria to distract everyone from the rolling clusterfuck that is his administration  avenge the dead babies.  What could have turned him from a “Crooked Hillary wants to get us in wars” isolationist/fuck NATO kinda guy into George Patton II? Advice from his Generals? Advice from his (heh) National Insecurity Council? His astrologer?

Funny you should ask.

President Donald Trump’s 33-year-old son Eric told Britain’s The Daily Telegraph that his sister Ivanka, rather than her husband Jared Kushner, convinced the U.S. head of state to launch 59 Tomahawk missiles in retaliation for a sarin gas attack last week.

“Ivanka is a mother of three kids and she has influence. I’m sure she said ‘listen, this is horrible stuff.’ My father will act in times like that,” Eric Trump told The Telegraph in an interview at the Trump Turnberry golf resort in Ayrshire, Scotland.

“He also confirmed that President Trump’s decision to bomb a Syrian airbase … was influenced by the reaction of his sister Ivanka, who said she was ‘heartbroken and outraged’ by the atrocity,” the British paper reported.

To be fair, all moms have probably considered calling in an air strike on their kiddos at some point.

I hope she doesn’t ask him to give 3,504 weeks of maternity leave because single pregnant mothers break her heart 🙂

The Navy will launch 59 frying pans instead of cruise missiles?

Eric, just shut up. White House staffers do not disclose internal deliberations. You people need to climb the learning curve in a hurry.

Trump’s new foreign policy?

Fortunately for humanity, she hasn’t toured either Korea yet.
It is a little strange that in a thread with so much Trump daughter hate, there’s not one iota of hate for the person who TOOK Ivanka’s PMS-laden advice.
Not one particle.
And now, the post of the thread!

I’m giving her a pass because of how good looking she is. If she was ugly, I’d be calling her Amy Carter by now.

Trump;:Great!
Ivanka; Well good night, and by the way, could you bomb Syria?

So Trumps daughter, a fashion designer, dictates foreign policy in the Trump administration?

It’s getting to the point where Trump is so bad that all we can say is, ‘at least he’s not Hillary”

President Trump: NATO Is ‘No Longer Obsolete’
Posted on ‎4‎/‎12‎/‎2017‎ ‎6‎:‎12‎:‎26‎ ‎PM by rod5591
“President Donald Trump reversed course on his view of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization on Wednesday, saying it is “no longer obsolete,” after months of bashing the alliance as no longer relevant during his presidential campaign.
“I said it was obsolete. It’s no longer obsolete,” he said at a press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the White House.
“The secretary general and I had a productive discussion about what more NATO can do in the fight against terrorism,” Trump said. “I complained about that a long time ago, and they made a change, and now they do fight terrorism.”

This should generate some stimulating discussion.

What changed?!

More WH Globalist influence?

Let’s see: no wall, no tax cuts, carbon credits suddenly look good, NAFTA looks OK, Michelle’s school lunches and victory garden stay, on and on

Trump was right. Now Trump is WAY wrong. An alliance that says that “If one of us is attacked then we are all attacked” to fight terrorism—basically organized crime—is absurd. He can’t really believe this.

I NEVER believe ABC without reliable confirmation. You shouldn’t either. Was there no reliable outlet like Breitbart or Drudge

SpitTake

that published an article about this? Why do we too often have to report this stuff on FR using lying leftist outlets like the All-Bull-Crap network?

The statement on NATO comes from a nationally broadcast/cablecast news conference.
YouTube has the statement available without any news station between you and the president.

Trump takes a centrist tack on economic policy, abandoning campaign pledges
Posted on ‎4‎/‎12‎/‎2017‎ ‎7‎:‎57‎:‎06‎ ‎PM by PK1991
“President Trump is abandoning a number of his key campaign promises on economic policy, adopting instead many of the centrist positions he railed against while campaigning as a populist.
Trump will not label China a “currency manipulator,” he told the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, despite a campaign pledge that he would apply the label on his first day in office. He also said he was open to reappointing Federal Reserve Board Chair Janet L. Yellen after saying last year that the central banker should be “ashamed” of what she was doing to the country.
And he embraced the Export-Import Bank, a government agency that he mocked last year and that has long been despised by conservatives who labeled it crony capitalism.
The statements represent a move toward the economic policies of more centrist Republicans and even at times align with the approach of former president Barack Obama. Should he follow through on the newly articulated positions, it would suggest that the candidate who ran as the ultimate outsider is increasingly adopting a more moderate economic agenda.”

Although this article is from the Washington Compost, I get a bad feeling we are heading toward a Bush III administration. I have only seen that Goldman Sachs, Gary Kohn in one interview supporting RINOCare and I did not like what I saw. As they used to say in the military, I hope Trump did not receive a lobotomy when he took the oath of office. I think Sean Hannity said when he talked to GW privately when he was leaving office aren’t you worried what will happen with Obama. GW said don’t worry he won’t be able to change much. Are we back to the statusBushquo?

See you good people in around three weeks.  Taking a break and going back to Playacar with Barbara. I’ll schedule a “Dave’s not here” post with pics from our previous trips for next Monday.
We saved for two years for this trip, and are going to make the most of every day there.
This may be our last trip there (fixed retirement incomes and my knees/cardiac issues are making it easier just to stay at home), so wish us well for our journey.
