Today on Tommy T’s obsession with the Freeperati – back in the saddle edition

And very gingerly back in the saddle – as in sitting for 45 minutes or so at a stretch.

So – a short one today, featuring The Darnold.

Donald Trump on DACA: ‘Chuck and Nancy Want to See Something Happen — and so Do I’
Breitbart ^ | 7 Sep 2017 | Charlie Spiering

President Donald Trump signaled support for signing a permanent deal to assist DACA recipients, giving amnesty to illegal immigrants brought to the United States as children.

“Chuck and Nancy would like to see something happen, and so do I,” Trump said, referring to Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

(excerpt required clip).

The president suggested that ideal legislation would include border security funds and a permanent fix for DACA .

“I’d like to see a permanent deal, and I think it’s going to happen,” he said. “I think we’re going to have great support from both sides of Congress.”

Breitbart is having a field day with Trump’s quotes.

Are they, now?  You know, it’s almost as if someone who works there was mad at The Marmalade Shartcannon.

Look at the deal that Trump made with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer on the three month budget.

He wants to see what will happen? You’ll lose your base pal and be a one term failed POTUS. You’re dealing with two traitors to the United States

I have to admit it’s been a bit of a letdown watching Trump deal/capitulate with the DEMs. My wife, who is usually much more of a “glass is full” person than I am when it comes to politics has been starting to question why she even voted for Trump.

Pretty soon now, she’s also going to start to question why she even married you.

Shades of Bush Sr, and his bipartisan agreement that killed his read my lips pledge.

The old, well-worn and proven playbook is in use here:
Step 1: Grant amnesty with promise of wall and tough enforcement.
Step 2: Forget the wall and enforcement.
Step 3: Let 20 years elapse.
Step 4: Go to Step 1.

No, that’s EXACTLY my theory.(1) Republicans sit on their collective asses and let Trump’s agenda wither on the vine

(2) Trump reaches out to the Marxists Dems

(3) Trump signs more spending, DACA, possible amnesty

(4) Angry base stays home in 2018, resulting in a GOP bloodbath

(5) Dems begin impeachment proceedings against Trump

(6) Dems/GOPe celebrate at cocktail parties thrown by Chamber of Commerce, CAIR, Soros

He’s sticking it to the RINO’s.

One thing I’ve always found comical about the phrase, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” is, which of the two enemies is your friend?

Which is worse, the enemy in your own family, or the enemy on the outside? Which is easier to fight?

You’re dealing with two traitors to the United States

The real traitors are the Republican haters of Trump. This scum includes McConnell and Ryan.

Possible. It will be fun to watch.

I am having quite a bit of fun watching you guys shit your collective drawers over this…

I confess that the ONE thing I like about this guy getting elected is the complete panic he’s created on the left. They are making fools of themselves on a daily basis. He needs to do the same with the RINO’s too. The swamp is not just democrats.

Think of this as possibly simply a chess move in the vein of a “sacrifice”. Time will tell what he’s got planned, but I think the RINO’s are on notice.

The ones telling him what to do?

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) spoke to President Trump by phone on Thursday and asked him to issue a tweet reassuring young undocumented immigrants that they won’t be deported in the next six months.
Trump tweeted Thursday morning, “For all of those (DACA) that are concerned about your status during the 6 month period, you have nothing to worry about — No action!

Pelosi asked Trump to issue tweet reassuring DACA recipients( The Hill – 09/07/17)

yes, much better that he be lead like a puppy by Mitch and Paul. This is exactly what Trump needed to do. Too bad it took so long. Dealing with the Dems has to be credible because the Repukes thinks he is boxed into whatever they want. They’ve been screwing him since he was elected and this was always going to happen. It’s much better this way, The two cucks need to know that they aren’t the only game in town. Maybe the Repukes will wake up and push for what they want now, if not then Dems it is but Trump’s agenda will be moved forward. The Repukes can decide whether or not it will be Conservative with Liberal ideas or Liberal with Conservative ideas.

  1. Funny thing, the apologists took over all the threads on this topic soon after the initial shock. Yeah, there were some sputters, but once the rationalization engines kicked in the Freepers totally went with the formula:

Dolt45 is geenus negotiator ergo making deal caving to demonrats on every point wuz smart… because REASONS

Really what they plugged into that formula didn’t matter, so long as it sounded like there was an endgame:

… because GOPe/RINOs needed to be taught a lesson
… because emergency hurricane funding was more important than politics
… because he made Pelosi and Schumer his b*ches (somehow)
… because he held the CR to three months
… because he is a disruptive force who is working OUTSIDE THE SYSTEM TO DRAIN THE SWAMP

That no one could agree on a single narrative again demonstrates the well thought out policies of this White House and the competency of their communications staff.

    1. 13th-dimensional chess is always the fallback position for the Trump-humpers.

“He kicked a little girl’s dog? Well, he was just trying to draw attention to the plight of homeless animals!
He’s playing the Emm Ess Emm like a fiddle and living rent-free in their heads!”
