Today on Tommy T’s Obsession with the Freeperati – “please make up our minds” edition

The flip-flopping is getting harder and harder to track, good people. How did Freeperville react to the incredibly callous and insensitive comments to the wife of Sgt. La David T. Johnson?

Depends on which way the wind’s blowing.

Trump told Widow Soldier ‘Must’ve Known What He Signed Up For’: Rep. [Florida Trump Hater]
NBC BAY AREA ^

Freepers are all like “Well, it’s a true fact”.
To: A_Former_Democrat

I can see him saying this, especially if it was part of the conversation lauding his bravery and desire to do good. My family knows that I have signed up for this and that death could be a possibility.

Yes, I can see Trump saying that…in a true, caring way of course.

The guy did know what he was signing up for and yet he still signed up for it which seems quite commendable to me.

Hell, they even start rewriting what he said so it doesn’t sound so embarrassing :

Try this version.

“He must have known what he signed up for …. and still he was willing to serve this great Nation that he loved.”

Hell, why stop there? Try THIS version:
.
“He had no idea what he signed up for…well, enough about him – let’s talk about me now.
Say – are you doing anything later on? Now that you’re unattached?”
.
So, to reiterate – if The Darnold said it, it’s good.
To: SoFloFreeper

And if he did……so what. He called her and YES the soldier did know what he signed up for……..that is just stating a fact

You know this is really out of hand. These bastards cannot keep getting away with making up these lies.
Well, the widow AND her family verified this happened, so there’s that.
It is sick evil and it must be stopped. I think this is the most despicable piece of media inflamed lies that has happened yet.
I thought it was a matter of:  “And if he did……so what.“?
I cant even put into words the contempt I have for these sickos. I hope they all burn in hell – McCain can go first.

So  – there ya go.
.
If he said it, it’s good. If he didn’t, it’s evil.
.
If you think THAT’S turning on a dime, wait until you see what all the Freepers who loved them some Dubya when he was President said about him last Friday – after the clicky thingy…
.

.
Before we get to the sudden hate for their God Dubya, I’ll let a Fark poster have the last word on that incredibly clueless phone call:

“He was told he has to do this. He doesn’t really understand why, except that people are giving him shiat because he hadn’t done it yet. He doesn’t have any concept of consolation, because it involves speaking to people about things that don’t involve him.

So he said whatever came into his head. The idea that he had to say words that would somehow assuage this woman’s loss or give meaning to her husband’s death is an utterly alien concept to him.

Now to be fair, there are no such words, and even those of us blessed with empathy wouldn’t be able to manage more than say, “I am sorry for your loss” or “The world is better for his sacrifice” or something equally empty-sounding. But at least those with empathy would understand and feel the emptiness and futility of the gesture. Trump probably hung up the phone and forgot about it within moments, simply relieved that he got it over with so he could go back to watching Fox and Friends tell him what a great job he is doing.”

gilgigamesh

Now – on to the next bit of hypocrisy.

.

I don’t have to remind you readers of how the Freeperati once worshiped the ground Dubya walked on, do I?  Or the relentless Free Republic purges of anyone who DARED to question the Golden Child?

.

Oh, what the hell – a little refresher :

WOW oh WOW!!!I LOVE THESE PHOTOS TODAY!!!!!!!! Just LOVE THEM!

The top picture in post nine-the one where our President stands between an elderly man holding his US flag and an elderly woman, who is absolutely tickled pink, has taken my heart up many steps. It is now my newest wallpaper and I look forward to seeing this miraculous photo of genuine comradery and patriotism and joy and concern and love every time I log-on.

And pittsburg gop guy’s next to the last pic posted in post #30, the one where GW is signing autographs as arms reach out to touch him, hand him anything to sign and as pure pleasure can be seen on so many, many faces, is truly unique. I have never seen a photo capture that look on our President before….he looks to be about 30 years old in that photo…

What a WONDERFUL DAY! How lucky we are. How truly blessed we are….And how grateful I am for your faithfulness to this thread. Don’t know exactly why-but tonight I’m absolutely happily weepy reviewing our President’s day tonight. Again….. WOW!!!!!!!

Bannon blasts George W. Bush’s presidency at California GOP meeting NY Post ^ | October 21, 2017 | 12:54am Posted on 10/21/2017, 12:14:46 AM by conservative98

Former White House adviser Steve Bannon says there has not been a more destructive presidency than George W. Bush’s.

Bannon delivered a scathing criticism of the former president after Bush this week denounced bigotry in Trump-era American politics, warning that the rise of “nativism,” isolationism and conspiracy theories have clouded the nation’s true identity.

Bannon told a capacity crowd at a California Republican convention in Anaheim that Bush “embarrassed himself.”

In his remarks in New York, Bush warned of a nation in which discourse has been degraded by “casual cruelty,” where bigotry is emboldened.

Bannon says Bush has no idea whether “he is coming or going, just like it was when he was president.”

W. was not the worst president.

True dat.  The Darnold has kinda knocked that one out of the park.

In comparison with Obama and Clinton he was a great president.

But that is a very low standard.

Apparently, “low” is the only kind of standard Republicans have these days,

He could have been a great president but failed to rise to the occasion.

He kept his mouth shut during Obama’s demolition of the nation, but decided recently he is ready to get back in the limelight.

He should be supporting Trump, not criticizing.

W. is not the man I thought he was.

  1. One of the meanest, nastiest, least civil ways that one can “debate” the RWNJs is to accurately quote their previous statements.

I think they’d prefer being kicked in the nuts, so why not give them that also, too?
