Quick takes: I think I may have a thing for redheads because all I can think about at the moment are Sansa Stark and Bobby Axelrod, my two Sunday night darlings, who frustrate the shit out of me on a regular basis and yet here we are. Poor tragic Bobby’s broken heart we’ll deal with on another day; my raccoon-draped goddess of the North is right about everything and yet none of it matters.

I AM SO ANGRY WE DIDN’T GET A SANSA/HOUND REUNION. So angry. We have 20 minutes of the fucken dragons flying around and Lord Whoever the Hell stomping in the mud but all I wanted out of this ep was just one “Little bird” and that LOOK Rory McCann delivers, like he’s drowning and she’s air. All I wanted. Fuck this show, man.

I have extensively documented my not giving ANY FUCKS about Jon Snow nor Bran, and yet for some reason it was their reunion out of all of them that made me cry. Jon, bursting into tears at the sight of Bran, just did me in. Ned and Catelyn did a number on Jon and he’s seen and suffered so much, in such silence, but Bran and Arya loved him uncritically, as only younger siblings love their older fuckup brothers.

Why on EARTH was Sam upset Dany offed his shitheel dad? At first I thought Sam was crying out of joy or shock that he was now Lord Tarly. Burning Randall Tarly alive was like the nicest thing Dany’s ever done for anyone. Of all the things to pick to prove Danaerys Is The Villain, this is … not it.

Speaking of Sansa and villains, fucking FINALLY somebody said it on the show: SHUT UP TYRION.

We see things from above, in this story. We see the orrery, the map, the chessboard. Of COURSE Sansa should get over herself and get behind Dany even if it’s just for the meantime. Of COURSE Cersei gonna Cersei. It all makes sense from up here. But: All revolutions are personal. All wars are about you and yours. In the end you’re fighting for the people beside you and the patch under your feet and it’s easy for us to dismiss that because we are Wise and Playing the Long Game and whatever.

Sansa doesn’t trust anyone. Least of all a southron queen who praises her beauty and treats her as a hostess. Would you? Sansa learned from Cersei to protect her own at all costs. Sansa learned from Littlefinger that absolutely everyone will fuck you over the second they can. Sansa learned from Roose Bolton’s bastard to let the dogs eat people she didn’t like.

It’s the worst thing about an abuser, right? That you can learn from them, something that keeps you alive.

Of course everyone should get over themselves and unite against the Night King, but be honest here. Tell me the truth.
