DearFundamentalist Christians,
It’s time for you to decide who you are. Are you going to be the kind of people who supporttorture, prisoner abuse, andextraordinary rendition? Or are you going to be followers of Christ’s message? You know, the one that embraces the idea of agape, that believes in turning the other cheek, that believes that the peacemakers are blessed, that the meek shall inherit the earth.
There’s the old adage that the Devil can quote scripture, as can those who further his agenda here on earth. If there was any doubt before, now we know that isabsolutely true. So who are you going to follow, Christ or the Devil?
Because it’s really that simple. The choice is that clear. I’m not a believer in a black-and-white world, but in this case, it’s the blackest black vs. the whitest white. And that’s even before we get into the issue of whether torture is even effective. (Cluephone! It’s for you:It’s not.)
You have a choice. What is in your heart? Because if this stuff seems okay to you, I don’t think you want to know the real answer to that question. And I wouldn’t be hoping for the Rapture if I were you…
And yes, I find it deeply amusing that I, an agnostic just one micron removed from being an atheist, am the one having to tell y’all this.
