In a fit of insanity, I adopted three kittens in 1985. It turned out pretty well but it was almost as wild as putting a ferret down one’s trousers. Two of the kitties lived long and happy lives: Charlie the ginger cat and Manet, la chat noir. The fluffy white cat’s name was Q-Tip and the poor dear only lived to be 4 but he was the one who first bonded with Dr. A so she has a special place in her heart for the cat with the silly name.
