It was a cold and blustery Twelfth Night in New Orleans. There were several small parades but Dr. A and I stayed home: winter wimpery is in my blood.
Carnival wasn’t the only thing that happened yesterday. There was a memorial service honoring the victims of the terrorist truck attack at St. Louis Cathedral. President and Dr. Biden attended. Jill Biden drew the short straw and sat next to The Clownfish during the ceremony:
Before the service, the Bidens visited the makeshift memorial to those murdered at the corner of Canal and Bourbon. Here’s another view of the visit:
Then, the President met with families of the victims. Consoling grieving people is what Joe Biden does best. Thanks again, Joe.
