Why zot this? Because Jim Rob don’t like it when the rubes catch on that all their money is going to keep him in The Olive Garden, and very little of it on gear and upkeep.
Fortunately, must of them are either too stupid or too scared to…
I have to ask this very seriously, do you know that this site has
been completely unusable to perhaps thousands and thousands of others
during either the first Presidential or Vice-Presidential debate and for
an hour or so after their respective conclusions?
This has never
happened in previous election cycles during debates, election night
results or during large breaking news events. Slow? Yes. Unusable, no.
I’ve
had multiple tabs opened for the debates this year and the FR one just
wheel spin, wheel spin, wheel spin… blank page, no progress bar moving
on the address bar. It’s just the internet equivalent of dead air for
hours.
If you’re getting this during a VP debate I fully expect this site to be dead and inaccessible from 6PM-4AM election night.
I completely agree. This is ridiculous! I know it’s not politically
correct to say this around here, but at what point does the equipment
for this site get upgraded, or replaced?
I’ve already purposed that I won’t even waste my time coming here for the next presidential debate.

Being an IT professional, I would suggest that he run it in the
cloud, that way it scales, is reliable, and it can add servers
dynamically…I do this all the time for customers who have much bigger
problems…
Amazon, Azure, etc.

Being an IT professional myself, I would suggest that cloud computing is just another crappy business model designed to squeeze more money out of you for the same service, with the added benefit of less security and a round-robin of finger-pointing when the shit breaks down.
Just buy another fucking hampster and be done with it.

Romney isn’t the first choice for
many of us, he is only a lesser evil. Many of us were doing all we could
do to get a real conservative nominated, others insisted on undermining
the effort, and they got called out on it, got their feelings hurt and
left.
We can be pretty sure of one thing, Romney’s choice of Paul
Ryan was the result of conservative efforts. Without that he may well
have picked someone far less conservative.

tea party movement has proven more politically mature than the

Republican primary season chiding swathes of people for being

mostly, in my read, from failing to take their advice. Romney’s
defenders, meanwhile, have been many of the same individuals who spent
the primary season torching him in effigy as the encapsulation of
everything they hate about the Republican ruling class. For months the
elites bashed the base for failing to suck it up and see the big
picture, to line up for Romney and come on in for the big win. But they
got their wish!
The tea party movement—once again proving its
pragmatism once the general election season rolls around—lined up in the
immediate aftermath of the Paul Ryan pick and has proven they can grow
up. Professional concern troll David Frum, who spent most of the primary
season telling liberals why conservatives were never going to suck it
up and go for Romney, now seems very concerned that they have. Michelle
Malkin, who could be taking the wood to Romney on a daily basis for his
infidelity to the immigration hardline, has morphed into a loyal soldier
while Peggy Noonan is calling for Romney to bring in the 82-year-old
Jim Baker to rescue his campaign (yes, really). Ann Romney seems a bit
perturbed about this.

Backing Romney isn’t my idea of growing up. It’s my idea of selling out because you have very little alternative.
Yeah sure, they’re grown up, and have resigned themselves to seeing Romney dissect their nation rather than Obama.
I’m certainly not going to trash them for it. I’m certainly not going
to congratulate them for it either. This is something none of us are
going to be proud of.
