Vitter the #KochSucker

My friend Editilla of the New Orleans Ladderis the crazy uncle of NOLA twitter. In fact, he was voted best twitter feuder by Gambit tabloid readerslast year. He may not be the first person to use the term #KochSuckerbut he’s the first one I saw using it, so I’m giving him the credit. What’s a bit of cronyism among bloggers? It’s the Louisiana way.

As you may have already heard by now, Bitter Vitter is a champion #KochSucker and literally, not figuratively, as Joey the Shark is wont to say. Last week Vitter inserted his head up the Koch’s pasty white rectums and left it there, which gives a whole new meaning to the name Diaper Dave:

Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) told a town hall audience on Tuesday that he believes oil billionaires Charles and David Koch to be “two of the most patriotic Americans in the history of the Earth.” A ThinkProgress review of campaign contribution records finds that he and his leadership PAC have received at least $57,500 from the brothers’ corporate political action committee.

“I’ll be honest with you,” Vitter says in video posted by American Bridge 21st Century, “My reaction is: God bless the Koch brothers. They’re fighting for our freedom.”

Bitter Vitter’s heroes are, of course, busy trying to buy Mary Landrieu’s Senate seat for Boring Bill Cassidy. So much for being like modern day George Washingtons. They’re more like the robber barons of the gilded age and Vitter is not unlike James G Blaine, continental liar from the state of Maine.

Hyperbole and exaggeration are part of being an politician, I get that. But the Kochs combine politics with naked self-interest: they support candidates and causes that make themselves richer and me crankier. Here’s the video of the man who wants to be Gret Stet Governor fellating the Kochs:

What? No money shot?

Finally, my Daily Kingfish colleague, Lamar Parmentel, wrote an excellent post yesterday about Vitter and the Kochs with a title I wish I had thought of first:Patriotism Measured By The Dollar.
