For some reason the man who still wants to be our first robot President decided to do a bit of mud wrestling with the Donald today. Mittbot’s speech was actually pretty decent but it won’t work. The Trumpers, or whatever we’re calling the Insult Comedian’s supporters, think Willard is a pompous stuffed shirt and, worse, a LOSER. They’re correct: he’s run and lost twice.
Here’s a chip off the old Mittbot hard drive:
“Here’s what I know. Donald Trump is a phony. A fraud. His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University,” Romney continued. “He’s playing the American public for suckers. He gets a free ride to the White House, and all we get is recession. His foreign policies would make America and the world less safe. He has neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president. And his personal qualities would mean that America would cease to be a shining city on a hill.”
Naturally, Trump dropped his fake statesman act and stooped low even for him:
“I could’ve said, ‘Mitt drop to your knees’ and he would’ve dropped to his knees,” Trump said. “He was begging. He was begging me.”
That’s right, ladies and gentleman, a man who wants to be the next Oval One made a blow job joke in public. I’m sure past Presidents made the odd blow job joke in private but this was in public, not pubic. I’m not sure if it’s worse than the schlonged remark but it’s bad.
There’s something about the Insult Comedian and his imitators like Malaka Morrow than brings out a rather prim inner Auntie in me. I am not a prude and I cuss, curse, and swear like a Greek sailor BUT I’m not running for President. And I try not to swear in front of children. I want them to learn how to swear from their own parents, not from me, and certainly not from Donald Trump.
Unfortunately, even if Willard Mittbot Romney was right for once in his life, denouncing the Insult Comedian only gives Trump a straight line and a shtick to beat Willard with. Romney *was* obsequious and fulsome in seeking Trump’s support in 2012 so he’s the wrong messenger. I’m not sure the craziest Trumpistas will listen to anyone at this point. It’s going to be up to the Democrats to take Trump out.
