On Wednesday Nikki Haley went on The Breakfast Club, a radio show hosted by Charlamange tha God and DJ Envy. She had a lot of negative things to say about TFG and Joe Biden, and most of the media attention on her appearance focused on those comments, and wrongly so. See, after Haley eventually drops out, she’ll endorse TFG and fall in line, so all her blah blah blah right now is pretty meaningless.
However, she did say something very telling in that interview.
“There will be a first female president,” Haley said when asked about Vice President Kamala Harris. “It’s either going to be Kamala Harris, or it’s going to be me. And it should send a chill up everyone’s spine thinking about the fact that it would be Kamala Harris.”
Asked what she did not like about the Obama administration, Haley declared, “I think with Obama, that was, if you go back, that’s when we really started to feel the division.”
“That was because of the white supremacists,” Charlamagne interjected.
“No,” Haley insisted, “I think it was, it was everything. Everything was exaggerated with the Obama administration. It became more about gender. It became more about race. It became more about separating Americans instead of bringing them together.”
“That was the right wing media, though,” Charlamagne said “They were they were scared to death of a Black president.”
“Look, I don’t think – everybody’s at fault. I’m not saying that one person did this. But I’m saying under that administration, it really did cause, some, you just felt, people felt like they were being put in camps through that administration,” Haley said.
Is she for real? Is this the same woman who said this:
“We were the only Indian family in our small southern town,” the Republican said. “I was teased every day for being brown. So, anyone that wants to question it can go back and look at what I’ve said on how hard it was to grow up in the deep South as a brown girl.”
So as an Indian American she was the victim of racism growing up, but she feels comfortable freely expressing racist thoughts about President Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris? And now she’s openly dog whistling about Black politicians? Are you fucking kidding me?
I wrote this about Haley a year ago:
Nikki Haley isn’t someone who is going to save the Republican Party from itself. She’s a self-serving weasel who is only concerned with gaining power (and let’s be clear about this: she’s running for vice president, not president). More importantly, she’s not merely aping TFG’s talking points—she has a history of being cool with all kinds of bigotry and hate. She’s just another symptom of the GOP’s disease, not its savior.
She’s a big phony. She’ll bend the knee soon enough. Here’s a song about phonies:
