With Bush’s approval ratings mired by the unpopular war, Americans trust Congressional Democrats over Bush to handle the situation in Iraq by a 54 percent to 34 percent margin. Chimpy set a new all-time low job approval rating (as well as a new all-time high disapproval rating) in the new Quinnipiac University poll. American voters disapprove 60 – 34 percent of the job President George W. Bush is doing. Voters disapprove 64 – 30 percent of President Bush’s handling of the war in Iraq and oppose 62 – 33 percent the President’s plan to send 22,000 more troops to Iraq. Tennessee Turns Blue

Chimpy’s sets an all-time low job approval rating in Tennessee but more importantly Tennessee voters’ party affiliation has flipped. In 2004 there were more self-identified Republicans in the Volunteer State, today there are more Dems. Chimpy is now polling lower than any president in the 20-year history of the Bluegrass Poll. With the war in Iraq going badly, President Bush’s approval rating in Kentucky is the lowest of his presidency, according to a Courier-Journal Bluegrass Poll — and the lowest of any U.S. president since the poll first asked such a question in 1987. Bush’s new Iraq strategy won’t work, and they doubt that pulling U.S. troops out of Iraq would increase the risk of terrorist attacks in the United States, a Detroit Free Press-Local 4 Michigan Poll shows. Chimpy Grapples With Nixon For Worst President Title

Nixon surpasses Bush in the race for the highest negative rating while Chimpy is the King of Failed Presidents in the latest Zogby’s Presidential Greatness poll. Franklin D. Roosevelt is back on top of the list of the greatest presidents of the modern era, returning to the highest ranking after Kennedy displaced him in last year’s survey, a new nationwide Zogby International telephone poll shows.
