Today on Tommy T’s Obsession with the Freeperati – Back to Abby Normal edition

All right, people – let's get back to it. Blowers on – airlock door open – stupid scrubbers on high – here we go!

You know, Terrible Ted Cruz is from my state (althought not my district), and I never get used to his inanity. I mean, every phrase that oozes from his pandering mouth just reeks of idiocy. I keep wondering when that stupidity (if it's not feigned) is going to splatter all over his master plan to march to retake the Sudetenland of Texas politics.

Sen. Ted Cruz Announces He Will Be Joining Glenn Beck at the Border This Weekend

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz confirmed Thursday that he will be joining Glenn Beck and Mercury One at the border in McAllen, Texas, on Saturday to feed, clothe, and provide toys for illegal immigrant children.

Catherine Frazier, a spokeswoman for the senator, told TheBlaze in an email: “Tens of thousands of children are being smuggled into the United States by dangerous drug cartels and transnational gangs – it is heartless to allow that to continue.”

“But while we work to reverse the policies that have caused this tragedy, it is important we recognize the human element of this crisis, and Sen. Cruz is glad to join Glenn Beck and Mercury One in that effort to provide some relief from the suffering this administration is causing,” Frazier continued.

Ted Crux supports legalizing illegal aliens here now.

I don’t trust Cruz.

Glenn Beck has proven himself a nut job.

I don’t know why Cruz is hooking up with him. SMH. Palin and Cruz are seen together quite a bit.

Feeding these people is the same as encouraging the actions. Cruz and Beck are both doing it for show and I think it’s a huge mistake for them.

Here you go partner. Please pay special attention to the last sentence in the first paragraph. Ted Cruz is okay with letting illegals stay permanently (and presumably work cheap and take American jobs. Did I mention his wife is a vice president at Goldman Sachs). He just doesn't want citizenship. I just want them gone. How about you? (please read the entire article. It ain't long)

…and, by the way, Cruz and Becks efforts will encourage more kids to come and more will die along the way. All these people are sick.

RE: Feeding these people is the same as encouraging the actions.

So what do we do in the meantime, let them starve?

True dat. It takes over a week to starve.
The cattle cars should have them back in Guatemala long before that.

Of course there's always 11th-dimensional chess:

My guess is that Cruz will make sure that our side benefits from his doing this.

That's my guess too. My God, some of the people on this thread are unbelievable. You DO realize the Libs spend about half their day demonizing conservatives as mean and uncaring, don't you?

That's a dirty lie. I seldom spend more than three hours a week.

The occasional charitable act by a conservative isn't going to hurt anything, and it may take some of the wind out of the Libs' sails for awhile.  amuse liberals mightily.

FIFY

Aside from the obvious trolls, those posters who seek nothing less than absolute, complete, toe-the-line doctrinaire conservatism every second of the day from the already-outnumbered people on our side have become incredibly tiresome. They're the kind of people who get people like Obama elected.

To: leapfrog0202

And oh yeah, if Cruz is dead to FReepers as POTUS candidate because of what he’s doing with Beck, what about the other conservative, Mike Lee?

It just so happened that Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) dropped out of the trip with Beck, saying a scheduling conflict prevented him from attending.

Does this mean he could have joined Cruz and Beck if he had no scheduling conflict?

That's right, good people – Ted Cruz is now officially not crazy enough for the Freeperati to support, and they're reduced to licking the bottom of the barrel.

Some older stuff after the RINO…

Today on Tommy T’s Obsession with the Observer comments – Glenn Beck on drugs edition!

Pardon me for getting out of my box here, but this is too good not to share.

Sarah Palin has the press and the media unhinged over her probable primary run

Yesterday, the Oregonian featured an editorial and excellent hit piece called, ” A prediction for 2012:Sarah Palin will toss her hat into the ring.” The article written by featured columnist, Todd Huffman, a Eugene, Oregon pediatrician was entertaining to say the least.

Sadly for Dr. Huffman, virtually everything he wrote about Governor Palin cannot be factually proven.

Sadly for you, virtually everything you write can never be not said to have literacy

Huffman is quite the dilettante writing on a plethora of topics.

Fortunately, he doesn’t use words like “dilettante” in public places, for that would be too pretentious by half, n’est ce pas?

When he veers to his obsession,

…or to avoid me driving the wrong way on the freeway…

the need to assassinate the character, background and education of Sara Palin perhaps his time would be better spent in his office taking care of sore throats and ear aches.

Perhaps your time would be better spent reading “The Elements Of Style”, and less time spent trying to rip off Victor Davis Hansonopolis

It’s probably an excellent idea toclick on this link to understand his take on the Governor.

He is not atypical of today’s journalists whom operate with the following code:

If you use one more double negative, I’m not going to atypically feed you to your own dog.

Anyway, after ten more paragraphs of trying too hard to impress, we get to the comments.

They’re mostly every teabagger trope in existance, but then there’s this:

Jack, how do you feel about Glenn Beck? I think he is really the most God fearing of all men today. He is terrified of him and I truly think he can talk some sense in to the rest of the country. What do you think?Or is the LDS trip that we are on as a nation too far gone. Can we take a spiritual shot of methadone and cure ourselves to regain control of the constitution?

My reply:

    “the LDS trip”

Unintentional irony award for this one.

Then I looked at Frumpy’s next post:

Frumpy Stilson 10 hours ago

My point exactly! In her own words, Sarah refuses to ” swim downstream with the dead fish” And do you know what really drives Satan’s Liberal Marxists out of their minds, the fact that nobody dribbles down court and keeps their eye on the basket like Sarah.

Oops – have I been hornswoggled?

Frumpy Stilson 9 hours ago

I saw her new program on TV and I said to myself. Is there anything this girl can’t do? No seriously. She is one of the few people that I would let in to my bunker. When the food insurance rations started to run low, she would lead the first hunting party out in to the forbidden zone. When it was time to plant the survival seeds in the spring, you know she would pitch in. I just think she’s great.

A kiindred spirit! And much better at spoofing teabagger “style”.

I am abashed. – nay, mortified. My only excuse is that Frumpy’s parody was too close to the original wingnut source material.

As I’ve observed before, it’s sometimes impossible to parody these nutcases. I suppose that the grandiloquent and bombastically verbose wordplay of the article’s author didn’t cause me to not be stunned into submission.

Beck-Ola 2009

It seems to be 9/12 sign day here at First Draft. My post was finished and waiting in the bullpen beforeAthenae threw that hard slider so I added this wee intro. This group blogging thing is harder than it looks.

Speaking of groups: The original Beck-Olawas a 1969 elpee (you know, one of those round black vinyl doohickeys with a hole in the middle) by the Jeff Beck Group whereon the guitar god was joined by Rod Stewart and Ron Wood to make some heavy blooze rock.<cue power chords>Beck essentially created the template for Led Zeppelin and countless others but was too restless to cash in. BUT that’s not the Beck-Ola in question, it’s my pet name for the Glenn Beck inspired hootenanny (hate-enanny?) they had in Washington last weekend.

There are some pretty remarkable Beck-Ola 2009 photos floating around the internets this week. Most are your common garden variety Obama is a Hitlerite Commie Fascist dictator who wants to take your guns away and force your womenfolk to have abortions. My favorite is below and it’s rather inventive; presenting an unlikely trinity of Stalin, Mugabe and Obama:

3913589208_6ef8a2ebce

I stumbled onto the picture on a Flickr page dubbed theNineTwelve Photos photostream. They have all sorts of zany pictures of Paultards, Freeperazzi and other assorted nutjobs at the demonstration. These are, of course, the folks who some in the MSM keep assuring us are just ordinary Joes who are angry but NOT bigots; a point amply supported by this comment on this picture at Flickr:

“Mugabe is a NEGRO and so is BARACK OBAMA and
they’re both COMMUNISTS just like STALIN so
you’d better watch out, Dems – you’re not
fooling ANYBODY with your NEO-STALINIST
MUGABE PUPPET REGIME.”

Maybe not.

Hmm, this explains so much: my cravings for borscht, ballet and hyperinflation in particular. We’re all Neo-Stalinist Mugabe-ites. Who knew?

Well, at least the marchers aren’t sexist, he said in a voice dripping with sarcasm, but their anti-Three Stooges bias really ticks me off

:3913589556_acf143fac7

It’s time to bring this exercise in semi-coherent thought full circle and back to the Jeff Beck Group. I don’t know about you but contemplating Beck-Ola 2009 has got me all shook up:
