Welp, I’ve been putting this off since forever, but it’s time to dig out some artisanal hand-crafted barrel-aged bullshit from the archives.
Since the Summer’s never-ending freepathon has finally ground to a halt with only three weeks to go until the Fall one starts, it’s probably a good time to ask:
Where DOES the money go?
Freepathon question
Posted on Friday, July 03, 2009 10:54:28 AM by Rodamala
I’m very new here and don’t want to get perceived as a “troll”, but I see the Freepathon fund drive meter every day and have a question. I don’t even know if posting on the forum like this is the right way to ask.
Every quarter, there seems to be a fund drive for $80,000. I’d donate, but 1) money is tight right now, and 2) where does the $320k/year go?
I really like this place… I finally get to be around people that “get it”. I feel I should contribute, but… well, see 1 & 2 above.

Someone has to pay the bills. There are a whole bunch of us who aren’t rich, but just a few bucks a month tossed into the hat keeps the lights on
“Keeps the lights on”??
You dumb fuck, $300,000.00 would pay the electricity bill at Trump Tower for a year, provided he doesn’t declare bankruptcy again to screw the utility provider.
and you won’t even miss it.
Kinda like your soul, actually.

I’ve been waiting to see what method he would use to punish these ‘inconveinant disrupters’. The Reno-Flame Out method wasn’t used (yet), so best to create a new GITMO on American soil, and fill it with, you guessed it, Americans. This is only the beginning. If Hilary becomes president, she will also use this tactic to rid herself of troublesome individuals.

You can riot and burn down a city and the federal government does nothing.
Eventually patriots will figure this out. Instead of going after the feds who trample on the patriots, the patriots will turn on the libs who support them. Vandalism and wanton violence against those libs who support this corrupt regime. A bumper sticker supporting Obama? The car gets torched. Etc. Times a million.
So – your plan for bloody revolution is basically to put a flaming bag of poop on a liberal’s porch, ring the doorbell and run?
Not that I would advocate it, but I can see it coming. Patriots will have no recourse but to use tactics that the left uses.

BUNKERVILLE, Nev. — Cliven Bundy stood by the Virgin River up the road from the armed checkpoint at the driveway of his ranch, signing autographs and posing for pictures. For 55 minutes, Mr. Bundy held forth to a clutch of supporters about his views on the troubled state of America — the overreaching federal government, the harassment of Western ranchers, the societal upheaval caused by abortion, even musing about whether slavery was so bad.
** snip **
“I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, “and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids — and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch — they didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do.
“And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?” he asked. “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”

Bundy is now being slammed by the left for being a racist.

When a man sticks a “kick me” sign on his own behind…
If he had a better grasp of the fact that black family life has disintegrated in direct correlation to the “War on Poverty”, he has a defensible position. Throwing out that “picking cotton” allusion is just stupid.

Actually, if these statements are accurate he will be slammed by 90% of America for pretty blatant racist remarks. Paul, Heller, etc, pretty much everyone is going to walk about from someone who talks like this.

I mean, come on now. You can’t stand around talking about how the negro should have learned to pick cotton. I mean, even the most hard headed amongst us should understand that you can’t ally yourself politically with a person who makes such remarks.
Conservatives really, really, need to pick their battles better. How so many of us get suckered into supporting cranks, completely unelectable candidates, scam artists like Herman Cain who run for office to fund a book tour, etc, etc, I will never understand.

And then – the second thread hits – entitled “GOP scrambles to condemn rancher’s remarks on race”.
And it’s on like Donkey Kong!
