Federal agents have arrested Jerry DeLemus, a local Tea Party leader who stood with Cliven Bundy armed resistance in Oregon this year and in Nevada in 2014.
DeLemus is facing nine federal charges based on an indictment brought in Nevada, including conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States, threatening a federal law enforcement officer, obstruction of justice, attempting to impede or injure a federal law enforcement officer and several firearms charges, according to court records.
State Rep. Susan DeLemus, R-Rochester, confirmed that FBI agents arrested her husband Thursday morning. Fighting back tears, she told the Union Leader that was all she would say about the arrest at this point.
Jack Kimball, a former state GOP chairman and a Tea Party leader, wrote on social media that DeLemus said the FBI agents forced their way into their condo with weapons drawn.
DeLemus is also a co-chairman for Veterans for Donald Trump in New Hampshire. (This is a developing story and will be updated Thursday.)

Officer Brady Pratt, 23, was in a Des Moines International Airport office Wednesday afternoon and drew his weapon to practice “his quick draw skills” and “unknowingly had his finger on the trigger and discharged a round into the ceiling tile,” the report states.
The bullet struck the ceiling, traveled through a wall and into a ceiling tile in an unoccupied adjacent hallway. No one was injured, but another police officer was present to witness the accidental shot. Pratt notified a supervisor.
“Discipline is always a possibility when [police officers] are negligent. The level will be determined by the circumstances. There will be a very thorough review,” said Sgt. Paul Parizek, Des Moines Police Department spokesman.
