He’s Got The Whole World In His … Oops!

Once upon a time, it couldn’t rain hard without some “Christian” influencer saying that God was punishing us for homosexuals. The right wing abuses a metaphor for its own purposes better than it abuses, well, almost anything else.

So surely they’ll appreciate the weighty symbolism of Secretary of Defense’s (always Defense, never War) staff dropping President Eisenhower’s globe and breaking the planet.

Right?

As if. Sometimes life sends you a signal that you are, in fact, entirely turned around and screwing things up not only for you but for many others. Some people might take the hint. Axeman Pete is not one of those people, so let’s put it another way. Pete, you’re …

The twist:

“Hegseth’s staff decided to relocate the globe when the history staffers who would typically coordinate the move were furloughed in the partial government shutdown earlier this year.”

Ike’s historical mini-Earth got cracked because Mike Johnson shut down the government to protect Trump from the Epstein files. Hey, speaking of a certain someone …

On a more serious note, notice where the GOP goes when it gets desperate and really, really wants to slander Talarico.

He’s gay.

He’s vegan.

All lies, but it illustrates who and what they see as the worst you could be, who they see as second-class Americans, and who they think they can disrespect with no consequences. Well, all the bees and dogs are looking at GOP headquarters right about now, because …

Let’s wrap up with one of my favorite one-off tunes from the ’90s. This one goes out with thanks to the three or four MAGA who are finally seeing the error of their ways and voting in an effort to offset their regret.

As for the remaining true believers, there’s a bit in here for them, too:

Just wait ’til tomorrowI guess that’s what they all sayJust before they fall apart …

We’re a week and a half out from Election Day. Tick tock, etc.
