Video of Ukrainian woman confronting Russian soldier goes viral: Put sunflower seeds in your pocket ‘so at least [flowers] will grow’ when you’re killed

A fiery Ukrainian women went viral for her reaction to a Russian soldier patrolling a Ukrainian street earlier this week.
What are the details? The unnamed woman — dressed in nearly all black and wearing a white winter hat — was seen in a video shared to social media telling off a Russian soldier and suggesting he carry sunflower seeds in his pockets — so that when he is killed on foreign soil, flowers will sprout from his decomposing body.
“Put them in your pockets,” she stoically told the soldier during one point of the interaction, “so at least sunflowers will grow when you all lie down here.”
The sunflower, which is Ukraine’s national flower, is often said to represent power, strength, warmth, and more.
Elsewhere in the video, the woman could be heard telling the soldier, “You’re occupants, you’re fascists! What the f*** are you doing on our land with all these guns?”
She added, “From this moment, you are cursed. I’m telling you. You f***ing came here uninvited.”
“Pieces of s**t,” she concluded.1 posted on 2/25/2022, 2:16:07 PM by marcusmaximus
To: marcusmaximusShould the soldier be there? No.But he was actually restrained and polite.
He restrained himself from shooting her in front of a bunch of witnesses recording on their phones.
He’ll politely be rounding her up when there are no witnesses around.
She is lucky the Russian soldier she spoke to chose to treat her like a fussy old Grandma. He may have known at least one person was filming the interaction.
If there were no cameras rolling and you had a more combative type of soldier, she could have gotten rifle-butted in the head or much worse.

Trump Fans Excited To Vote For The Guy Who Fast-Tracked Vaccines And Hired Fauci

U.S.—Fans of former president Donald J. Trump are chomping at the bit to once again vote for the guy who fast-tracked vaccines and appointed Dr. Anthony Fauci to the Coronavirus Task Force.
“Trump was by far our greatest president. Even better than James Madison!” said local deplorable Nathan Nebulous. “Everything was great under Trump until that deadly virus changed the face of the entire earth overnight and ruined everything. But he was so good at owning the libs!”
Sean Hannity, a popular conservative pundit, announced his continued support of Trump on his radio program. “Sure, the vaccines don’t seem to help at all and Fauci may have created COVID himself, but nobody’s perfect. Don’t lose sight of how great his Twitter account was before he got banned.”

Pittsburgh bridge collapses on day Biden to visit city to talk infrastructure
Posted on 1/28/2022, 7:21:28 AM by bryan999
No injuries were immediately reported, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety, which reported a “confirmed bridge collapse” at around 6:50 a.m. A photo from KDKA shows at least four vehicles, including a Port Authority bus, on the bridge near Forbes and Braddock avenues, which splits the Point Breeze, Regent Square and Squirrel Hill neighborhoods of Pittsburgh. Another vehicle is shown dangling near the edge of the collapsed bridge.
Police, fire and EMS personnel are responding to the collapse.
Public Safety said there was “a strong smell of natural gas in the area.” Nearby homes are being evacuated due to the gas smell, according to KDKA.
“Please avoid if at all possible,” the agency tweeted.
The collapse comes the same day that Biden is visiting Pittsburgh to discuss infrastructure. As part of his trip, the president will visit the research and development hub of Mill 19, which was part of the infrastructure deal passed by Congress last year.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment early Friday.
This is not an accident. Biden needs to prove why he’s spent trillions of dollars.

Trump calls politicians who refuse to say they received Covid boosters ‘gutless’

WASHINGTON — Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday criticized politicians who refuse to say whether they’ve received a Covid booster shot.
In an interview with far-right cable channel One America News, Trump said he received the booster and has seen politicians get asked in interviews whether they’ve also gotten a third shot.
“They don’t want to say it because they’re gutless,” Trump said. “You gotta say it, whether you had it or not. Say it. But the fact is that I think the vaccines saved tens of millions throughout the world. I’ve had absolutely no side effects.”
Trump said that the Covid vaccine largely prevents people from being hospitalized or dying from the disease.
“If they get it, they’re not going to hospitals for the most part and dying,” Trump said. “Before it was a horror, and now they’re not.”

Bill O’Reilly: ‘Diminishing the Capitol riot could never have happened’ while he was at Fox News
The Hill ^ | 12/15/21 11:12 AM EST | BY DOMINICK MASTRANGELO
Posted on 12/15/2021, 7:18:51 PM by RandFan
Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly said downplaying or diminishing the seriousness of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol is something that “could never have happened” during his time at the network.
“Fox News is a different place than it was when I was there,” O’Reilly said Tuesday evening while appearing on Dan Abrams’ primetime show on NewsNation. “I don’t follow it that that closely anymore, but when I was there, there was a discipline from management that diminishing the Capitol riot could never have happened. And I’ll state that firmly on the record.”
O’Reilly had joined Abrams’ program to discuss revelations this week that top hosts at Fox, including his former colleagues Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Brian Kilmeade, had been texting with then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows during the riot, urging Meadows to convince former President Trump to do something to stop the attack.
“I wouldn’t have done it myself,” O’Reilly said of the text messages the hosts sent Meadows. “I would have asked the question, ‘Say, are you guys going to make a statement? What are you going to do? Looks like things are out of control?’ I don’t think I would have advocated; that’s not what journalists do. But it was in a very intense, quick-breaking situation. So I’m not going to condemn anybody here.”
Hannity and Ingraham both defended their texts to Meadows during their nightly programs on Tuesday and played for their audiences portions of their statements the night of the attack.
“I said to Mark Meadows the exact same thing I was saying live on the radio at that time and on TV that night on Jan. 6 and well beyond Jan. 6,” Hannity said Tuesday.

POINTS Former President Donald Trump says he received a booster vaccine shot for Covid-19 “Oh don’t!” Trump said, waving his hand as some people in an audience in Dallas at a show with former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly seemed to react negatively to him saying he got the booster. A relatively large percentage of Republican voters have refused to get even initial doses of the coronavirus vaccines. GOP governors around are resisting vaccine and mask mandates.
******************************************************Does this mean president Trump will no longer be popular here on FR?
don’t understand him when it comes to this vaccine. He must think they really work.
Well, he did spend some time in the ICU at Walter Reed, so maybe he wishes he had gotten vaccinated.
Two advisers close to Trump who were briefed on his condition told the book’s authors that the former president was “gravely ill” and they feared that he “wouldn’t make it out of Walter Reed.”
Very disappointing. It makes me wonder if he knows what is actually going on with the global takeover.

NO SHUTDOWN — Congress avoided a government shutdown after Senate conservatives dropped their demands to nix President JOE BIDEN’s vaccine mandates in the funding bill — and Senate Majority Leader CHUCK SCHUMER gave them a way out.
All 100 senators agreed late Thursday night to quickly proceed to a bill funding the government through Feb. 18. The breakthrough came after Schumer gave Republicans a vote (with a simple majority threshold) to defund federal vaccination mandates. He did so only because there were two Republicans absent, meaning that even if Sen. JOE MANCHIN (D-W.Va.) sided with Republicans, the amendment would be defeated. (And fail it did, 48-50.)
Conservatives will argue they got something out of this drama: a vote on their issue. In reality, it was a face-saving measure. The far-right started out demanding that Congress effectively scuttle the mandates, then reduced their ask to a mere vote they knew would fail, ensuring smooth passage of a continuing resolution a full 30 hours before the shutdown deadline.
It’s a shame we couldn’t find ONE senator to gum up the works and object.I only hope they got something more than a DOOMED to fail amendment.
This can’t possibly continue.
This can’t possibly continue
And why not?
Hidden in the word “Conservatives” are the words “Vote cavers in”.

Hundreds of QAnon supporters are currently traveling from all across the U.S. to Dallas, where they expect to see John F. Kennedy suddenly reappear on Tuesday night and ordain former President Donald Trump as the “king of kings.”
Some QAnon followers were so eager to secure their place for the return of JFK that on Monday night hundreds of them gathered in Dealey Plaza, where Kennedy was shot in 1963, waiting for the latest QAnon conspiracy theory to come true.1 posted on 11/3/2021, 1:31:23 PM by TexasGurl24

No, that would be Free Republic, Carry on.
Very reminiscent of the end-of-the-world cults. Bound to be disappointed.

“This change may result in mailed statements, new or replacement cards, and payments you mail, taking longer to arrive.” – I received this message in my online bank account this evening. I have a different account that is required to mail me a monthly hard copy. Five years ago, that statement would arrive before the 10th. More recently, around the 15th. This month, already the 20th, and still no statement. Let’s Go, Brandon!1 posted on 10/20/2021, 12:40:01 AM by zeestephen

All hail Mitch McConnell – the ruler of the Republican party, right?

McConnell: GOP should focus on future, not ‘rehash’ 2020

Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) urged his party to focus on President Biden heading into 2022, and not relitigating the 2020 election that former President Trump still falsely claims was stolen.
McConnell, speaking to reporters during a weekly press conference, was asked if he was comfortable with the party embracing Trump. The former president was at a retreat over the weekend for Senate Republicans’ campaign arm and endorsed Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) for reelection in Iowa earlier this month.
“Well I do think we need to be talking about the future, not the past,” McConnell told reporters Tuesday.

To: ChicagoConservative27If Republicans refuse to correct the rampant voter fraud of the past, and instead turn away from protecting people’s ballots, and guaranteeing election integrity, there is no future…no future for our country, and no future for the Republican Party. I won’t be voting again until voter fraud is annihilated.
To: The Fop“Mitch McConnell and his CCP wife lying in a pool of blood on Bardstown Rd. would be a nice start for the future for the GOP.”AgreedI like the way you think!
To: ChicagoConservative27Somewhere in the rules of free republic there is a ‘no profanity’ tenet. Which is a good thing.

I have read other forums and do not do so any longer. The foul language is horrific.
Any time you get a bunch of chickens together in one place, you’re gonna get a lot of fowl language.
Nevertheless, I can’t write what I want to write here in response to the uttering of this fraction of a man the leader of the senate minority but I will say this. He always seemed to me to want the gop to be the minority party
