All hail Mitch McConnell – the ruler of the Republican party, right?
I believe we’ll start with the present and work our way back – starting with:
Corned beef rehash!
McConnell: GOP should focus on future, not ‘rehash’ 2020
The Hill ^ | 10/19/2021 | JORDAIN CARNEYPosted on 10/19/2021, 2:38:59 PM by ChicagoConservative27
Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) urged his party to focus on President Biden heading into 2022, and not relitigating the 2020 election that former President Trump still falsely claims was stolen.
McConnell, speaking to reporters during a weekly press conference, was asked if he was comfortable with the party embracing Trump. The former president was at a retreat over the weekend for Senate Republicans’ campaign arm and endorsed Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) for reelection in Iowa earlier this month.
“Well I do think we need to be talking about the future, not the past,” McConnell told reporters Tuesday.

To: ChicagoConservative27If Republicans refuse to correct the rampant voter fraud of the past, and instead turn away from protecting people’s ballots, and guaranteeing election integrity, there is no future…no future for our country, and no future for the Republican Party. I won’t be voting again until voter fraud is annihilated.
To: The Fop“Mitch McConnell and his CCP wife lying in a pool of blood on Bardstown Rd. would be a nice start for the future for the GOP.”AgreedI like the way you think!
To: ChicagoConservative27Somewhere in the rules of free republic there is a ‘no profanity’ tenet. Which is a good thing.
Free Republic moderators :
I have read other forums and do not do so any longer. The foul language is horrific.
Any time you get a bunch of chickens together in one place, you’re gonna get a lot of fowl language.
Nevertheless, I can’t write what I want to write here in response to the uttering of this fraction of a man the leader of the senate minority but I will say this. He always seemed to me to want the gop to be the minority party
To: ChicagoConservative27“,,,that former President Trump still falsely claims was stolen.”Every lying, lib media jerk adds this statement. That’s opinion, not fact.Starting to think “journalists “ should be licensed.68 posted on 10/19/2021, 4:05:29 PM by Fledermaus (I’ll wear a mask when Dr. Fraudchi shuts the hell up.)

Trump Urges Republicans to Sit Out Coming Elections National Review ^ | October 13, 2021 | Zachary Evans Posted on 10/13/2021, 5:53:22 PM by karpovFormer President Trump is urging Republicans not to vote in upcoming elections unless the “fraud” of the 2020 elections is uncovered.
“If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ’22 and ’24,” Trump said in a statement released Wednesday. “It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.”
Trump’s claims of a “rigged” election also depressed voter turnout during the Georgia Senate runoff elections on January 5. Georgians elected two Democratic senators as a result, giving the party 50 total Senate seats.
Trump has repeatedly claimed, without evidence, that President Biden lost the election due to fraudulent voting practices. While Trump claimed that he won the states of Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania at a rally in Iowa on Saturday, Biden won each of those states.

This is terrible advice.
The GOP has a chance of retaking the House and Senate. As I wrote before, Trump cares more about himself than the Republican party or what’s good for the country. I hope DeSantis or someone else gets the 2024 nomination.
To: karpovI support Trump on this and unless the election system is secure I won’t be voting. Let the establishment rot in hell.

To: karpovIt looks like Trump has hired Hillary Clinton as his political adviser.12 posted on 10/13/2021, 5:59:01 PM by Alberta’s Child (“All lies and jest, ‘til a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.”)

To: nbenyoDid the President really say something *so* bone headed?
Looks like it.
Or did the neocon rag “National Review” deliberately misquote him and put words in his mouth?

To: JustaJusta wrote: “Open your eyes IT’S NATIONAL REVIEW. Geesh. Only trolls and moral frauds follow it.”The title is misleading, but the quote is direct from Trump’s official website, in it’s entirety.

I reads like a veiled threat to republicans to quit blocking fraud investigations and get onboard.

Republicans in Virginia attended a rally for gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin and the rest of the GOP ticket during which they recited the pledge of allegiance in front of a flag that was said to have been flown during the Trump speech in Washington DC on 6 January before a mob of the former president’s supporters laid siege to the Capitol.

It has long been my conviction the epitome of the writing craft is in the ability to thoroughly curse someone (or thing) out without resorting to profanity. Not very good at it but none-the-less make a statement, as it were, but like smoking weed v vapors refined, elegant (eloquent), of a more civilized time. And I tend to verbosity … these guys make it to easy.
I salute you! You’ve ~ you have ~ done an entire post without resorting to profanity!
“you have ~ done an entire post without resorting to profanity!”
The fuck you say!
😉
Artistry is at its best when it overcomes obstacles. Some obstacles are self-imposed (like rhyme and meter in poetry), some are restrictions imposed by “authorities”. But Art is more powerful than any of them.
So replying to the Freepers without profanity, and in the form of a haiku?
FUCK YEAH!
We really should come up with a clever nickname for Ashli Babbitt. Remember how the right dubbed Rachel Corrie as Saint Pancake? We’d just be returning the favor.
FAFO girl?
Stupid copthrasher?
Dumbass McDarwin?
Or maybe Hol(e)y Neck?
Who Framed Ashli Babbitt?
She can have her own martyr movie.
